He had played with one of the team's 'farm' teams in the late 60's and was brought up mid-year.  Had a big game in a crucial mid-season win over Pitt.  He figured into Eliot Asimov's book Seven Days to Sunday, about the Sherman-Tarkenton Giants of that era.
