Quote from: madbadger on Today at 09:37:12 AMIt's a term for an athlete that listens and reacts to criticism from outside the locker room, particularly the fans and the media. If he has a really hard time dealing with fans in Madison who are upset that he goes down far to easily for a 240 pound running back how the hell is he going to survive being ripped daily on the WFAN?

OK thanks for explaining that. 🙂

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on Today at 09:20:42 AMI just don't view Slayton as a consequential subject either way, so I'm not sure why he's getting so much airtime this week.

He's not that impactful if they keep him, and he's not going to get you much in a trade if you move him. Either way I just don't get why he's such a subject right now. He is the quintessential definition of a JAG.

I think he's a notch above a JAG but he works hard and really wants to be a Giant. I don't fault him for advocating for himself. That's just a function of the business. Folks have a beef with him because he's has some glaring drops. Other players for some reason get a pass on that.

Agree with @PSUBeirut .  The disparity among the various rankings is almost comical.

From what I can devine from the draft so far

1) Offensive linemen of note, are depleted
2) Some top notch WRs still left
3) Only a few RBs of note are left
4) Defensive lineman of note, are depleted
5) Quite a few DBs are still available
6) No love for LBs this year
7) IMO - Schoen is looking for very specific pieces to build the Giants, not necessarily BPA

Leonard Taylor going from five star recruit to not drafted yet has my head spinning as he seems like an interesting mid-round choicd plus fills a big need at DT.

Giants need more explosiveness at RB as they simply don't have it.  I'd love to see them pick up Wright to fill that need.

I don't see any TE worth drafting as none stand out as a hidden gem to me.  All are plodders.  Would they look to draft Johnny Wilson from Florida State and move him to a role as a pass catching TE?  That would seem interesting to me.  He's 6'6"  and moves well for that size.  He's only been catching a ball for a short while so some development needed but I like his foundation.

These rankings on day 3 are all over the map, which tells me that anyone who pretends to feel either really good or really bad about today is probably just throwing darts like everyone else!
