I speculated after game 2 if PL would sit Rempe and somewhat surprisingly he did. But I thought Brodzinski might be suited up and didn't see Chytil as the choice.  Might we see Wheeler before it's all over?

BTW, these end of period goals are giving me heart failure!!

Slow day with nothing to do, so I put it together. In one of Tarantino's interviews, he said what he wanted to accomplish more than anything, was showing the world that Sharon Tate had a real life, and not just a name people remember for having been brutally murdered in one of the most horrendous ways imaginable. He was only a young kid when the murder happened and his father wouldn't tell him what happened even though it was all the news, and happened just a few miles from his home

My biggest criticism of the film is that it stopped short of the Tate murders, leaving everyone hanging. The other criticism of mine, is that they barely showed Manson. I think he was in one scene that lasted a few seconds. Apparently, a lot of the Manson stuff was cut from the film, but to me, it would have been better if it focused more on Manson, the family, and the life of Tate (apart from being a party girl with a sweet temperament). As it was, it was more about life in "'69 Hollywood", played out by DiCaprio and Pitt, about declining actors/stuntmen, with a side story about the Manson family and the life of Sharon Tate. I think a lot of Manson stuff was cut out for the sake of the family, and the whole mess of Manson's life was maybe too emotional for a lot of people. Bizarre, Satanic, ugly, horrendous...whatever adjective you want to give it - it was gruesome and beyond sane thinking by anyone. On the other hand, that's right in Tarantino's wheelhouse

The genre is basically "Historical Fiction", yet in some ways borderlines being a documentary. Even though it wasn't my favorite movie of his, it left more of an impression on me than most of his other stuff. There's a lot in "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" that I'll never forget, and also gives me a different perspective on how I saw the '60's

I am confused as to why Nabers is being called out for his bet, but Barkley got a free pass for his bet with Baker Mayfield.  They both made their bets public.  They appear to be for around the same dollar amount.

Yes, there's the ethics/morals aspect but there's a bigger picture as well. When you start publicky sharing with the world your "worth," you potentially open yourself to bad people showing up in your life disguised as good folks with good intentions who are out for one thing. On the other hand, it can potentially set you up for getting robbed if you're not careful.

The point is to be smart and think carefully about the consequences of anything you post in the public domain. No amount of money makes you immune to the consequences of your own foolish postings.

Lol on Purdy, but last time I checked, he and his team were either in overtime in the Super Bowl, in year two of his career, or throwing with a blown out elbow in the NFC Championship game in his rookie season.

He's in a system that is working well for his skillset and he doesn't have to apologize for the talent around him; he just wins. He only needs to take the final step and become a championship quarterback. He's still growing into the position and getting better.

He's accomplished all that in his season and a half experience in the NFL.

Definitely top five, but you can make a case why or why not for second best.

They have to conquer all foe, en route to the top, and reach the Everest before comparisons to Torre can even be considered.

But I'll yell you the truth. Throughout this season, that's exactly what came to my mind as well.

A "rangers fan during the play-offs only fan because it gives him an excuse to go out during the week" co-worker asked me what is this year that is different.  I have said for months, it is Laviolette, Peca, and Housley.

Hands down....the MOST resilient Ranger team of my lifetime.
