Still better?  Some would absolutely go bonkers if Jones had fumbled that snap....looks like it will turn into 6 for Rams

Agreed. He landed on the 47, a long yard shy. The gobbled snap was a microcosm of this season.

Apples-to-jeep comparison.  TT didn't cost us a 6th overall pick or $40M year.  It's foolish to have the same expectations for both QBs.

100% agree, Chris

Kyren Williams is a living example of why we would be beyond foolish to hand Barkley even a medium sized contract like $6mm a year.

The Rams took Williams 164th overall and signed him to a 4 year rookie contract at under $1mm a year. There are guys like this in every draft. He has been great all year and gets the job done and is fresh and healthy. To blow a bunch of cash on a constantly injured, declining has-been like Barkley would be the height of foolishness. I really hope we don't do it. We desperately need that money for other positions. Every $1mm matters when you have to have 53 players all under the same salary cap. Especially when you're taking a $47mm hit on Daniel Jones.

The Giants will be a better team without Barkley. The need to draft one in the later rounds and sign another as a free agent. Two backs is the way to go.

The problem is that you're comparing a former top 10 pick who just got a huge contract to a 12 year journeyman backup and there really isn't much of a difference

Why do we play soft in that situation ...

Whatever .... Draft pick here we go

I'd be fine with them drafting two. One on day two and one on day three. Plus you have Grey. That would be fine.

No more signing washed up guys like Booker, Breida, Jon Stewart and Dion Lewis. We need to get youger and cheaper at the position.

There is no problem with comparing one QB to another.  I don't care where they were picked the play on field is all that counts

Newsbreak. Ronnie Barnes responsible for signing final approval for current turf responsible for two Giants, two Rams (including Cooper Kupp on the latest TD) injuries.

Turf: 4 - Rams+Giants 0
