Also recently

Jack Ryan S4
Witcher S3 part 1
Lincoln Lawyer S2 part 1
AfterParty season 2

All dropped in the past week or so.

I also saw The new mission impossible and the the sound of freedom early and both where ok, while the new Indiana Jones was an all time low which is saying something because the crystal skull one was bad.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on July 12, 2023, 03:32:33 PMNobody was phenomenal. If you liked Nobody and John Wick give Sisu a try. It was kinda wild but in the same mold.

Plot: During the last days of World War II, a solitary prospector finds gold and on the way to cash in his windfall crosses paths with Nazis on a scorched-earth retreat in northern Finland. When the soldiers decide to steal his gold, they quickly discover they just tangled with no ordinary miner.
Sounds good.
"There is a greater purpose...that purpose is team. Winning, losing, playing hard, playing well, doing it for each other, winning the right way, winning the right way is a very important thing to me... Championships are won by teams who love one another, who respect one another, and play for and support one another."

Started the "Quarterback" show on Netflix last night. Watched one episode. Pretty solid content for any NFL fan.

I missed out on Justified the first time around and I have a couple of buddies who rave about it. I'm looking forward to watching the new edition.

it's so good, Timothy Olyphant Rayland Givens is one of the best TV characters ever. Easily top 5 maybe top 3.

Lioness special ops drops Sunday and is the newest series from Taylor Sheridan who seems to not miss with hits like 1923, Yellowstone, Tulsa king, and mayor of Kingstown.

Stars an A list cast as well. Basically women doing special op assassinations and assignments.

This looks really interesting. Sheridan has been on a great run. Also anything Kidman signs up for is usually good. She doesn't waste her time with mediocre crap.

Just watched the first two episodes of the new justified and the first two episodes of the special ops lioness by the Yellowstone creator and both are outstanding.

Give me shows like those two every week and I'd be so content. Sadly from my perspective working in film the writers/actors strike isn't going away so the likelihood we have any new content coming soon like it has the past year is slim. Watch for companies to take the Netflix model of splitting seasons up and do that for every single new show plus more reality shows to saturate the market over the next 10 months.

My wife and I watched the first two episodes of Taylor Sheridan's latest show "Special Ops: Lioness" last night. Despite having a title that if you knew nothing about the show would probably make you think it's something lame, it did not disappoint. Very intense, violent, and well-acted. so far. Really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next episode. Anything that has Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman in it is going to catch my attention, and Taylor Sheridan has done consistently outstanding work. This looks to be another feather in his cap.

I watched Lioness and enjoyed it...other than we have to wait for each episode  ~X(

I started watching "The Afterparty" on Apple+. I liked "Only Murders in the Building" and this is sort of like it. There are two seasons, 5 episodes each. Also, a little like "Knives Out", without the high paid actors and actresses in Knives out or Only Murders in the Building (well, second season has a couple of well known stars, Elizabeth Perkins of "Big" fame, Ken Jeong of "Hangover" fame...did you know that Jeong is actually a licensed physician??? He quit as a doctor to get into acting...but I digress). It's not bad if you like murder mysteries that remind you of the game "Clue". Bides the time until something great drops
