#Giants QB Daniel Jones was 5 of 6 passing in 7-on-7 drills today. Connected twice with Wandale Robinson.

Drew Lock took all first-team reps in team drills. He was 17 of 23. Three of those completions were very obvious sacks. Lock missed quite bad on a few others.

Lock did make a nice long completion to Robinson. Robinson's had a good couple days here in the media-open practices.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on Today at 11:06:45 AMIt's still kinda wild in 2024 that the police arrest first and think later.

Some southern states pay their police poorly.   As a result, they tend to recruit people in higher-paying states who couldn't pass the entrance tests.  Also, when police in the higher-paying areas get in trouble and are fired or have to quit, they can often get jobs in those lower-paying states.

That all said, I don't know how much this particular police department pays.  I will also add even with stricter entrance exams and the like, some poor officers still get and stay on the force.  Again, I don't think it represents the majority of officers.

I will also add that, compared to other countries, the US requires a high school diploma and around six months of training, which I think is inadequate. If they boosted the education and training requirements, we could improve things.

Quote from: Philosophers on Today at 10:32:56 AMHow do they do a medical assessment without medical reports or being able to examine him after practices to see if there is swelling or asking DJ questions?

They usually watch videos of the injury (if available), and they watch videos of players working out post-injury as well.  They combine that with decades of medical experience in the NFL, and they project based on what they know.  So, they likely watched the videos of DJ working out with the team (with a focus on the movements he was performing and considered that he isn't wearing a brace.  Based on this information and their medical experience, they are expressing optimism with the timeline cited.

Quote from: WheresDayne on Today at 09:42:20 AMWho are these "Pro Football Docs"?  Do they include Ronnie Barnes?  I won't hold my breath.

It's a website/service founded by "the football doc," the former physician of the Chargers.   They do medical assessments on players with an eye toward servicing gamblers and fantasy football players (I think they do other sports as well).   I consider it a qualified opinion (where teams tend to be more tight-lipped) but with the limitation that they don't have access to the player's medical records or test results.
