I think his stretch the field ability makes him a decent piece of an offense.  Ita not an accident he's been among league leaders in yards/reception pretty much every year.

Regardless, I don't understand the infatuation with trading him.

Pretty much knew this was coming when they went to 17 games. 

I do like the idea of a Holiday weekend Super Bowl.

I am surprised by using all 3 2nd day picks on defense as well.   Thought one of them would be an offensive player.  I like the picks they made but I still found it surprising they are all on one side of the ball.

I understand in doing that you lose the chance to draft a starting corner but you hope that between Thibs, Dex, Burns and Okereke that you can create enough pressure to protect Banks, Flott and Hawkins. Not a perfect solution but at the end of the day there are no silver bullets available.

I don't disagree and love Powers-Johson.  I think he could turn a position into a strength rather than an adequate player. Right now there is still a bunch of question marks outside of Thomas

Just not sure that Schoen and company will prioritize IOL over some other needs. I assume they have some confidence in the guys they signed.

Is it overkill? Maybe. I just love the talent and think he is your new Chris Snee day 1 starter for the next decade.

I feel the same way about Powers-Johnson.  Just not sure the team will invest more high draft capital in the OL at this point. 

I don't see this hypothetical trade happening because there will be plenty of talent left at WR at 34.

I like Powers-Johnson but do the Giants see IOL as a position of need?

One thing that never ceases to amaze me is how differently teams evaluate prospects compared to talking heads.  Maybe its that talking heads are evaluating in vacuum not with a system or role in mind, compared to teams that really need to consider those types of things. 

Until the Falcons I thought the draft was pretty much in line with popular opinion.  The second half of the 1st seemed like teams had players rated very differently than media.

I don't think a 2nd rounder is on the table, especially for this year's draft. There is still several good WRs available and if teams like the Bills that are WR needy pass or miss out (they pick first today) then I could see a trade happening.  At best I think a 3rd or 4th for next years draft could happen.

I think the most likely scenario is a post draft trade which is why I think a 2025 pick is most likely.
