Quote from: MightyGiants on Today at 02:02:51 PMI got excited when Ojulari came to OTAs jacked. Since then, a player coming in jacked is not something I immediately celebrate
Quote from: ViewFromSection129 on Today at 12:42:48 PMFar be it for me to defend the Giants, as the last decade plus proves that they have been well behind average as a franchise, but this guy makes zero sense. Take JJ just because positional value dictates a QB? Take an OT and move him to ROT just like we did a few years ago? And what, make trades to shake things up and be more inspiring? This guy sounds like an idiot.
Sure, I could have made a good case to trade down in the first and get more picks and draft into the WR strength in the draft, but I give the Giants credit for not trading up, or not taking a QB at 6 they did not have convictions on. They will be judged harshly if they missed on QB, but they didn't do the "easy" thing and pick a QB and try to do something with a player that they didn't believe in.
Quote from: GloryDays on Today at 02:02:11 PMTommy seems to be quite under-rated because of his pre-nfl portfolio. I watched a couple of his games and I really think the kid has some special ability. He has a pretty good arm. He is accurate and throws some catchable balls. His pocket presence is excellent. He can buy time and hit the target running. If no one is open he tries to run or secures the ball for minimal loss. In the Washington game, behind that atrocious line, he was sacked 9 times, but was still able to throw some nice completions and win the game.
On the Jets game, I think, they tied his hands and he still almost won that game! He could have been 4-1, in 5 games with a lousy O line and average targets.

Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on Today at 11:47:47 AMIf you listen to nothing more than the last ten minutes or so, it's worth it. Toomer goes into a lot of detail about becoming a pro, what it takes physically and mentally...about not fearing about competition, but actually wanting it, etc. Amani tells it like it is (it's simply business) from a player's perspective and his unique point of view on DJ as well as running backs. He explains to players that you have to get better every year or you're gone, and don't fear being replaced, but embrace it and use it to push yourself further
A good example is Kayvon who spent the offseason getting bigger and stronger, as shown here in Spring workout...exactly as Toomer explains in his dialogue. He looks jacked and will look great across his new bookend Burns. They will push each other
