kaleidoscope just came out on Netflix

A master thief and his crew attempt an epic heist worth $7 billion, but betrayal, greed and other threats undermine their plans.

Gincarlo Esposito stars

What's even more fun is the episodes aren't numbered and ordered differently for everyone. So you don't know if you are watching the finale first or premiere last. The episodes show up different so that everyone can have a different perspective on the show. Truly bonkers but maybe brilliant idea. In on episode 2 and loving it but I love heist movies. So far it's oceans 11 meets the town, but I'll follow up when I finish.

I have to say, my wife and I are absolutely loving "1923." I recommend it wholeheartedly. Great prequel to "Yellowstone." Great acting, very good writing, stunning cinematography, and tense, interesting plot lines. And needless to say, no shortage of action and violence. Just an all around great show. I think it's 10 times better than this most recent season of "Yellowstone." I'm guessing Sheridan has Yellowstone on autopilot now an devoted more of his recent energy to 1923. Either way it's a top notch show from my perspective.

I haven't begun watching this yet, but I heard about this the Episode "order" and this intrigues me. I will definitely check it out.

I watched The Forgotten Battle on Netflix.  It was pretty good.

It was about the Allied troops needing to take an island in the Netherlands that is heavily fortified by the German army.  It was told mostly by the point of view of the civilians who live on the island and also by a German and British soldier.  The acting was very good as were the battle scenes.

The movie follows history fairly closely. Over 3K Allied soldiers died. Over 4k German soldiers died. Over 2k civilians died.

Yeah it's so weird the episodes aren't numbered they are color coded and you can watch them in any order but I recommend Yellow first.

What are your top two Netflix, Apple series? Just started streaming and we started with Ted Lasso and The Morning Show. Considering Paramount.

:hmm:
I don't have Apple, but I have Netflix, Prime, Hulu, Peacock, and Paramount+

Netflix: hands down best series ever...Ozark. Close second...Breaking Bad I also think Lincoln Lawyer is a great series as mentioned by Bill. note: an interesting and pretty funny series to watch with your wife is Jane the Virgin. I told my ex-wife and daughters about the show and they reluctantly tried it. My ex has watched it twice now, my second daughter has watched it 4 or 5 times and whenever she's bored, she watches it again even though she can quote every line in it. My other daughters also consider it one of their favorite shows. My granddaughters also love it. Girls love it, but guys get a real kick out of it as well (warning, sex, many murders, lesbianism, crazy stuff

Prime: Reacher, Jack Ryan

Hulu: Fargo, Only Murders in the Building

Peacock: Yellowstone, Weeds

Paramount +: 1883, 1923 (both are prequels to Yellowstone)...1883 is the first family to make it to Montana and set up the homestead

This off the top of my head  :hmm:
The joke I told yesterday was so funny that,
apparently, HR wants to hear it tomorrow

One of my favorite Netflix series is "Black Mirror." It is a series of unrelated episodes, all of which focus on hypothetical future societies and what they might look like if technology continues to advance at its current breakneck pace. It is very clever and fairly dark. I highly recommend it. Some episodes are better than others, but the bar is very high.

For Apple, Ted Lasso is up there for sure. I also liked Season One of "The Morning Show" quite a bit, however I thought season two was hugely disappointing and would not recommend it. Season one was excellent though. I would watch that and then just call it a show.

Here is the trailer for season one of "Black Mirror."

The first episode of season one is about a British Prime Minister who faces a dilemma. One of the royals has been kidnapped by an unknown group who claims they are going to kill her, and the only way that she can be saved is if the PM will have sex with a pig on live television later that day. The rest of the episode is how he and his top cabinet people deal with this situation. It's one of the better episodes out of all the seasons (although there are some other fantastic ones).

I preferred Breaking Bad, and even Better Call Saul, over Ozark. But just slightly. Ozark was very good.

And just to nitpick, Breaking Bad, and BCS, currently available on Netflix originally aired on AMC.

Well, that first episode was quite shocking and actually turned me off to the series. A couple years later a friend reassured me the rest of the series was very good and much easier to take, so I watched the rest of the episodes. As you said, some were better than others, but all in all a very good series. I'm glad I returned to it.

If I had to recommend a couple of things on Netflix

The Queens Gambit. Just an extrodinary 7 episode series

The Crown.  Just excellent

I'm not sure what it is on but the 5 episode series Chenobyl(sp) was just great.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Chernobyl is amazing. That was HBO though I believe. Definitely one of the best miniseries I've seen in the past five years or more. So well done. Absolutely riveting. I'll probably watch that again at some point - it was that good.

Just finished "Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers".

10 Episodes, one better than the other.

Although I have to say that Episode 10 is gut wrenching, every time I see Kobe and Gianna together it rips me apart.
It's less about Kobe himself to be honest, more about the fact that his wife has lost a husband and a daughter so tragically and that Gianna hasn't been able to live her life fully, dying so young.
