Jeez Jess, that's some hard times for sure.  I feel for your families health trials. I've never heard of such high up front billing either. I know new health care is often on a sliding scale pending income.   I'm sure you obviously researched the best insurance options.
My son's mother in law died of cancer during the pandemic. She's from the Philippines.  A typical income might be $5k a year over there.  They wanted all medical bills paid up front.  My son and daughter in law paid $25k cash.  At least it gave them peace of mind they did all they could. My daughter in law says when must Filipinos get sick, they can't afford medical care.  They go home, pray, then die
Best of luck Jess to your families brighter days ahead!

Been on Giants message boards since 06.  I don't think I've ever seen near 100% on a problem.   I feared this might happen, but I hoped for good play from Jones. This was Dave Brown bad.   It's 100% clear to me and most here it's time to find the future QB for the Gmen.   Play hard, but whatever the record finishes, we need to sell out to grab a top 3 or 4 QB next draft- as of now it looks like we will finish bottom 5 anyway

We've seen so little in preseason to know what we have.   I'll be honest ecstatic with a respectable passing game, o line competency, some Nabers magic, and some pass rush juice from Burns and Thibodeux

I wouldn't mind grabbing the Texan RB Brooks if he hits waivers.

Quote from: kingm56 on August 17, 2024, 03:13:52 PMI doubt it; he's not a 1-tech DT.  He'll be great on known passing situations, or when the Giants are not in thier base personnel.  He's athletic as heck, but needs to get stronger to be an NFL starter.

The D line coach said he is the strongest guy on the team. Stronger than Dex. This was mentioned on Giants podcast and elsewhere

Beautiful play to Slayton. Finally.  I'm hoping they keep the offense in for more work.
The Texan announcers speak very well of Singletary.

Quote from: Messiah717 on August 15, 2024, 08:38:26 PMYes, not responding is the best remedy but there shouldn't be constant posts that you know full well annoy people.  The Devito thing being started over and over again couldn't have been anything but trying to garner a negative reaction.

Here's what gets me. Why did so nany members breathe life into his silly repetitive threads?  I personally gave some leeway, because he came across as an elderly member. I did not engage, but I have a soft spot for elderly / lonely after watching dementia steal my mom's mind.

I was unimpressed with Roches. I'll be watching the starting DT depth outside of Dex.  Rich said they looked good so far. Burns shoukd help too. I wonder if Simmons can carve out a role racking up tackles?

I like it. We will still need to draft a guard next year, but we look much improved on paper. Thomas, Runyon, JMS, Van Roten, Elumenor. That's three new starters that all have above average PFF grades

I think he made the safe bet.   I really wanted a qb, but if Nabers is a true #1 1200 yard receiver, we are good.   I personally feel if Jones can't put up 4000 yards, we go all in to move up for a qb next draft. Pre loaded with a #1 WR

Quote from: Philosophers on July 20, 2024, 01:47:04 PMWhat about potentially JE and Neal at RT?  I know JE is listed at Guard but have to think he gets RT reps and if he looks good, an unintended competition may become competition.

I am curious about safety.  We did not need depth at safety but rather a new starter with X gone.  If that's not Nubin, then why did we draft him at the coveted 2nd round apot?

That's what I want to see!

Agree.  If healthy, he'd be ahead of Neal in my view. At worst, a solid 6th man

I just googled it. It looks pretty slick.  Next time I'm in the area, I'll check it out. Agree with Rich
makes the Giants stadium look woeful.

Agree with Ed. The receivers look promising. Elumenor minimizes the Neal risk.  A safety is not as critical as the key D line pieces.  A running back was not able to get us over the hump with Eli when he had fresh legs. We are still building the foundation.

If you take Neal from equation, it's a solid draft. After Jones, Neal is the biggest ?
