Hi!  Just found this place and I'm really excited I did-- As a displaced Giants fan it can be hard to find an outlet sometimes!

1)  I'm currently living about an hour north of Los Angeles at Naval Construction Battalion Center Port Hueneme, and before moving here, I had been living in San Diego, CA since December 2010.  Home, on the other hand, is Waterbury, CT... Hence the "displaced" thing.

2)  I grew up in a Giants (and to a far lesser degree, Chargers) household, and my NFL first game was in 1989 at San Diego -- Giants won.  I remember being there despite being INCREDIBLY young, I remember it was raining my mom took me home a little early, while my dad stayed behind, haha.  I think I really took an interest in the Giants (and began to develop an understanding of the game) starting with the 2004 season.  So really, I'm kind of terrified to think that someday, Coughlin and Eli will be gone, because the Giants I've known began when they did! D:

3)  I went to school for psychometrics, with the intention of working to develop more refined measures for psychological testing, my interest in particular being high functioning autism and autism spectrum disorders.  My husband has two years left in the military, after which I would like to move back east and continue pursuing what I went to school for, but this isn't exactly the place to hold a research position.

4) Like I said, I'm looking forward to talking to fellow NYG fans on here.  If anyone is active on Twitter, follow me @sorrymymistake and I'll do the same-- really enjoy the Giants fans I've followed on there, and certainly would like to have more tweets to read, haha.

Welcome, Rachel. I've read a few of your posts and you not only write well, you also have a good understanding of the game and our team.

I look forward to your contribution in our community.

1)  What part of the Country do you live in?  Fairfield County, CT

2)  How long have you been a Giants fan?  since I was 14 (...I'm currently 58 -- well, for another week, but hanging on to every year!)

3)  What do you do for a living?  have my own 'virtual-COO' consulting practice, working with the the founders of emerging software/tech-based ventures whose businesses have hit a wall -- helping them get their company back on track by strategically assessing current business needs/challenges... and then working hands-on to tactically help get them to their desired 'next level' of growth

4) Anything else you would like to mention about yourself?  Just that I love this Board -- I don't post often, but read every single entry... can't get enough on the Giants!

Welcome bul, and as Mighty stated, thank you for your service and that of your Airman.  I spent four years in the AF myself, back in the day !!!
Go Red, Grey and Blue !!

WELCOME, bul!!!  GREAT to have a retired service member.  I'm retired USAF 0-6 (four years active duty, 28 active Reserve)  My middle daughter served five years in the USAF & married an AF man who is now retired.  Their daughter (my grandaughter, obviously) is now in the USAF.

LennG

Oh NO, not another Air Force man.

Just kidding. I am also ex AF, just not a lifer. Like Giantsguy (George), I did my 4 years,  in the mid 60's. mostly overseas.

Welcome to our place. Kick your shoes off and stay a while.

Hope to see more of you.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

1)  What part of the Country do you live in? Currently I live in the Bronx, NY. I grew up in Saratoga county.

2)  How long have you been a Giants fan?
I was born a Giants fan, though I didn't watch football for most of my life. My family with the exception of 2 of my brothers were all NYG fans. So I rooted for them in passing.

Then 2007 came. I started watching the last few games of the regular season through the Superbowl run. I was hooked. The excitement was too much to ignore.

Since then, I get more and more into football every season. It's to the point that if there is football on TV, I watch it.

3)  What do you do for a living?
I work for United Tote. I'm currently station at the NYRA tracks. That will change after this summer though.

4) Anything else you would like to mention about yourself?
I love to play video games in my spare time. I also like outdoors in the summer. I guess that's it. Have a nice day!

"But I don't want to go among mad people," Alice remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Cat: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Alice.
"You must be," said the Cat, "or you wouldn't have come here."
