Feliciano was the Player they needed to keep. Gates apparently gave up a lot of pressure.

I will add one thing I thought of.  The Commanders have a ton of salary cap space. They have zero motivation to release Gates, with the exception being they really don't want him on the team (in a league with a chronic shortage of quality offensive linemen)

I love the guy. One of our best lineman before his freak injury, and very respected by teammates. Bring him in and start him at LG. At the very worst, he's a big upgrade for backup of any position on the IOL
