Guys

I was scheduled to bring cups, napkins and some paper towels. Some one will have to pick up these instead.

You all can probably forget the Kosher Hot dogs

Guys, I am afraid I am going to have to back out of the BBQ and geting up to Albany. We have certain family obligations that we just found out about and we are going away on vacation a couple of days later, and it will be jiust too much to get away at this time.

I can't tell you all how much this saddens me as I so look forward to meeting all my old friends and meeting some of the new people who plan on coming.

Guys, I will be thinking about you. have a great time and be sure to post some observations for the rest of us.

I am not a local, but looking at a map, you should be able to access the Northway (87) from Wolf's road.

From the North: Take Interstate 87 (Northway) south to Exit 1E. Off the exit, proceed to Interstate 90 east (Albany/Boston). Take Exit 2 (Washington Avenue) which leads right into the University at Albany campus. Follow University Drive (heading south) 3/4 of mile to Dutch Quad parking lot (public) and one mile to Recreation & Convocation parking lot (Giants/VIP).

and as soon as you exit, the university is right across the street. If you enter the university, just follow the route around looking for the tennis courts. You will come to the parking for people coming to camp. There will be some kids collecting parking fees, $5.00. Park anywhere. If you miss our group, you just need to walk all the way by the tennis courts, to the big dorm buildings. They usually have a huge blow up Giants figure there. Just go up the steps, you will see a huger tent selling all kinds of Giants stuff. Go thru that, and the fields will appear.
Again, if you are meeting the group before, then it's no problem. if not we will give you a cell number to call to see where most of us are.

As far as the BBQ is concerned, I don't know the streets, but it is about 5 minutes from the practice field. I'm sure some one can give you directions.

If any locals can correct my directions, jump right in. SUNY Albany is pretty easy to find, and the traffic in people coming to camp usually points the way.

Bring some things to get autographs as many of the players will sign, and bring a camera so you can take pictures of us.

A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving
each other the silent treatment.
Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife
to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight. Not wanting
to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of
paper, "Please wake me at 5:00 AM."
He left it where he knew she would find it.
The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and
he had missed his flight. Furious,he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he
noticed a piece of paper by the bed. The paper said, "It is 5:00 AM. Wake up."

Put me down for the Kosher Hot Dogs. If I am the only one eating the Kosher Chicken, forget it. I'll bring something from home and we can just warm it up. I'd be afraid to have raw chicken out that long.
You can also put me down for the Paper Plates, Cups, Napkins and Paper Towels.

#89, class all the way. One of my all time favorites, and I go back a long way. Not like todays' clowns who have to tell everyone how great they are. Mr Bavaro said little but spoke volumes on the field with his play.

OK Cid.

Right under Big Blue Huddle, on the top of the page, you see a bunch of buttons.

Click on the profile button

On the left side of the new page, you will see a few boxes with other things in them

Under Modify Profile, click on the Forum Profile/Info.

A new page comes up where you can choice something to use as your avitor. If you are uploading a picture from the net, click on 'I will upload my own picture', use the browse button to find your picture, and the rest is history. If you already have your picture, use the 'I have my own picture' button and put the site where your picture is.
You can also add a few words where it says 'personal text'.

I'm pretty sure you can only use a very small picture as your avator, so make it good. If you have any further questions, talk to Rich.

Service????

I became confused when I heard these terms with reference to the word "service."

Internal Revenue "Service"

U.S. Postal "Service"

Telephone "Service"

Cable "Service"

Civil "Service"

Customer "Service"

State, City & County Public "Service"

Government "Service"

This is not what I thought "service" meant. But today, I overheard

two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to

"service" a few cows. BAM!!! It all came into focus.

Now I understand what all those "service" agencies are doing to us.

I hope you are as enlightened as I am.

Yes sir re Bob, Mr Jones is the orininator of the end zone Spike.

Great post Brian. I always wondered what Jones would have done had he played on the Simms era Giants, when we had a real team?? Too bad his career was so short, he really might Have been one of the truly greats to play WR.

I was a moderator on BBWC for some time, but many never really knew a lot of the behind the scenes back stabbing that went on over there, especially from some of the people at the top. There was a definite conflict of interest, especially as some just desired the power and never really knew what to do with it. While some of us petitioned to limit the people there and the quality of what was being put up, others didn't think that way, and just wanted numbers, of posters, of hits, of members. When Rich approached me, Kevin and Brian about starting a new board and breaking away from BBWC, we were all on the same page. We talked and talked about what we wanted in the new board and we were all on the same page. WE approached several other long time BBWC members about helping out and away we went. From then on, there was no looking back. We did struggle at the beginning, trying to get the word out to older members of BBWC about this new place, and we were rebuffed many times. But, with hard work, and word spreading, we were able to make this place a great place to be. And the rest is history. We will never get the numbers most of the other boards get, but who cares. We are among friends here, where we share much more than just being Giants fans. We may not agree on many things, but we do so as we would want others to do with us, with class, with understanding and being always able to listen to the other guys opinions.
The mods have talked many times about expansion, and we are all for it, but in moderation. Every new member has to be approved and cleared, and in all the time, since this place has existed, I think we have only banned 4-5 people. Maybe once guys are surrounded by great people, that sort of rubs off on them.
Thank YOU all for making this place exactly what we envisioned when we started it up.
