I think you answered your own question. They've hit pay dirt twice with the coaches and quarterbacks but only once with their GM's.

While I prefer ball-hawks, I have seen DBs who are skilled at preventing completions from doing well. I think former Giant Adoree Jackson could be an example.
Quote from: MightyGiants on May 06, 2024, 03:44:18 PMand @madbadger Tracy was a WR at Iowa, so he was taught how to block even before going back to his old HS position of RB
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 05, 2024, 09:01:39 AMI agree that Taylor is better than Lock, but I have to hope that our QB play is better than last year unless we think Jones' 2023 level of play is his norm, which I don't. I'd like to believe 2024 Jones will not only be better than 2023 Jones but will also be better than 2023 Tyrod Taylor and 2023 Tommy DeVito. That's an unbelievably low bar for a $40mm a year 6th year veteran starting QB
Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on May 03, 2024, 11:45:29 AMI'm finding a certain amount of joy watching the drama unfold between CeeDee Lamb, Micah Parsons and the Cowboys; although, neither has been declined a 5th year option (so it doesn't really address this thread), but a good story anyway. They both want an extension and more than double what they're being paid, and looking at 30+ million per year. Jerry's in a pickle because there's nothing they can do about Dak's huge contract, who flat-out refuses to have it altered or restructured in any way in order to help out the team
Minnesota has the same problem with Jefferson, who says he won't play this year unless he's paid a salary commensurate with top WRs (30+ million per). Will probably be our problem in a few years with Nabers, LOL
Quote from: babywhales on April 30, 2024, 04:03:19 PMTake the 12 mill saved on a Post June 1 cut and go get someone that could be more impactful. 14mill for 500 yards and 1 TD isn't worth it
Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on April 28, 2024, 11:38:20 AMI find Casey Rogers quite intriguing. He has some game to him and rates very high in his RAS score. That score shows he needs to add about 10 lbs of muscle I guess. Put horns on each side of a helmet and a fat sword in his hands, and he'd look like a feared Viking warrior. I will be watching this guy closely to see if he can make the team and be of use to us. His athletic scores are comparable to Braden Fiske's (although Rogers wasn't invited to the combine) and would have been second fastest of all DTs. He also plays on special teams, and I've included a clip of him on a trick play where he turned a 4th and punt into a 1st down (he's no. 98)
His father was a long time assistant coach at Syracuse. He spent a lot of time with my son and me during my son's recruiting visit. Nice guy.

Quote from: MightyGiants on April 28, 2024, 09:30:42 AMTo point B, there are also those who feel that Saquan has more reputation than production last season. To those people, losing Barkley was not an issue.
