Big Blue Huddle / Re: NFT I was hit by a car

I just recovered from a hip strain.  Scared me as I remembered the Bo Jackson story.

I used some hiking/walking sticks to keep the weight off for a couple of weeks.  It seems to have worked.

Sounds like it could have been much worse but no picnic for you.  You must be pretty sound to have survived that encounter.....Get better soon.  We are all hoping you have a speedy recovery

to me the RB spot is up for grabs and at least the ball is not pre-designated to one guy  for 95% of the snaps.

Had that guy delivered or not, you need RB rotation in todays NFL

There are surely enough RBs on the roster now to find a 2 or 3 man rotation.

The decider will be can they block and pick up the defender running free, can they break the initial tackle and run decisively with power.

Also do they have good hands and spatial awareness on the outlet

The Giants tried to force-feed Barkley for 5 years and did themselves nor Barkley a favor with all that telegraphed activity.

Who would you deem our best WW2 Navy Admiral and why? Obviously each had different roles. I'd love to hear if anyone knows any stories about these fine men.

Halsey

Quote from: sxdxca38 on May 19, 2024, 08:58:43 PMI appreciate very much what you have presented here, however, here is how I am seeing it.

I agree with you that not exercising his 5th year option was the wrong move.

However, giving him a new contract after the way he played in 2022 was definitely the right move.

The issue that I have was not the contract itself, but to me it was the size of the contract. If they were to have re-signed him in the range of around 30 million a year, then I think that is fair, but 40 million was too much.

As for your last statement, I would say it is yet to be determined, but this year we will all get our answer.
I appreciate your POV.

I agree that we will see this season if Jones is the guy or not.

Not going to be breaking any ground but this will be a really tough series.  To me, Florida is very similar to Carolina but they have better goaltending

Quote from: T200 on May 17, 2024, 08:47:54 AMI feel like they've made the wrong decisions on Jones every time they had to make one. It's like the "which hand is it in?" game.

- Exercise his 5th year option? Nope, wrong answer.
- New $160 million contract with $92 guaranteed? Nope, wrong answer.
- He'll show he's worth the deal and can be a next-level QB? Nope, wrong answer.

We keep getting snake bit by the Ghosts of Gettleman.
