Quote from: sxdxca38 on Today at 09:31:51 PMFair enough,Jones is only participating in 1 7v7 set a day while everyone else participates in 11v11, but for 40 million he should look 10× better than a guy making 5 million. It shouldn't be a whew glad he looks better than our 5 million dollar backup. Does that not show just how bad off we are at the qb position? when our hope is, well I would really like our 40 million dollar qb to outplay the guy that was just brought in at a fraction of the cost and an undrafted player today.
however,
DJ is coming off a devastating acl injury and cannot fully participate yet, and he's still outshining the others.
While Lock and Devito are fully healthy.
Secondly,
DJ hasn't been in the same system for six years.
He is entering his 3rd year in Daboll's system.
This will be Devito's second.
And Lock his first, however Lock has been in the league for five years, entering his sixth, same as DJ.
I have nothing further to say, off to rest.
Quote from: sxdxca38 on Today at 08:18:24 PMSo, let me get this straight, you are advocating for Daboll and Schoen to trade Daniel Jones, their starting QB right now. Okay, so quick question for you, who are they going to trade him too? And what player are they going to get in return? He was saying teams normally don't double down or hold onto bad mistakes. If a qb doesn't work within a couple seasons they are gone and yet despite that we still have Daniel Jones.
Secondly, you claim Daniel Jones is a failure. May I ask a question then? In 2022 when the Giants made the playoffs and won a game, with Daniel Jones as the starting QB, were you advocating back then that he was an albatross and a failure?
Just curious?
Quote from: Jclayton92 on Today at 09:25:13 PMRich and myself were discussing Lock not Jones or Devito.
I'll still answer the question:
Jones in year 6 should be ahead of an undrafted qb and a backup. It shouldn't be a great thing to see, it should be a given.
He can't get any worse throwing deep than he has been the past 2 years, and now he won't be as mobile. So we should all be hopeful it improves.

Quote from: sxdxca38 on Today at 08:22:04 PMHi,Rich and myself were discussing Lock not Jones or Devito.
Devito's been in the same system for over a year now, and according to reports DJ is way ahead of the other QB's.
This is a great thing to see, wouldn't you agree?
And if DJ begins to start throwing the ball deep several times a game, especially to Nabers, then this will be a much-improved offense
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on Today at 09:03:02 PMTotally different eras. Rules changed materially. Can't compare stats as apples to apples from these two eras.Eli was Eli, regardless of eras. The Giants Offense was never explosive but Eli had better talent around him.
