he didn't delay/dominate the position for 5 years

Yes its almost incomprehensible that Bill did not land in another place but who knows

I think the Patriots will falter for a bit until they realize Joe Judge is available to move up to HC.....LOL. NOT!!

Patriot's should have brought Mike Vrable back to be their HC in my opinion but lets see

Although very preliminary and early in the process,  I'm going to venture 10-6 and the NFC East crown

All the NFC East teams are capable of that same result though.  Its always a horserace in our division.

We finally solved Philly last year, now have to tame Dallas.  WFT is an enigma

This is another good argument for automated braking on all new cars

I too was hit by a distracted driver from behind and got horrific whiplash and concussion.  The results were long lasting

these types of accidents can be eliminated but we are not there yet on the majority of cars on the road today

When people argue against automated cars, you know these types of accidents never happened to them or they have not really thought about it

I just recovered from a hip strain.  Scared me as I remembered the Bo Jackson story.

I used some hiking/walking sticks to keep the weight off for a couple of weeks.  It seems to have worked.

Sounds like it could have been much worse but no picnic for you.  You must be pretty sound to have survived that encounter.....Get better soon.  We are all hoping you have a speedy recovery

to me the RB spot is up for grabs and at least the ball is not pre-designated to one guy  for 95% of the snaps.

Had that guy delivered or not, you need RB rotation in todays NFL

There are surely enough RBs on the roster now to find a 2 or 3 man rotation.

The decider will be can they block and pick up the defender running free, can they break the initial tackle and run decisively with power.

Also do they have good hands and spatial awareness on the outlet

The Giants tried to force-feed Barkley for 5 years and did themselves nor Barkley a favor with all that telegraphed activity.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on May 19, 2024, 05:20:30 PMYou also thought Gary Brightwell was the next Barry Sanders.

Just saying Jones has a significantly better chance of being an elite Qb than Brightwell does of being Barry Sanders.

now that he's gone the truth can be told
The Giants pandered to Barkley for 5 seasons
no one else had any chance to really contribute

Barkley was the ordained RB.....a gold jacket was predicted.  He was a huge disappointment and that was that

Rocky Thompson was a better pick

maybe this 4.27 human bowling ball 5 foot 5 200 lbs can be somebody
time will tell

there is no longer an owner of the RB position...its wide open

Feel better
Wow that's awful

Hope you are ok

until we see the final 53's who knows.  As it stands we are bottom 5

certainly with Dave Brown uhhhhh Dan Jones at QB we will contend for the 1st pick

I have zero faith in this guy....never saw a QB regress so completely from his rookie season to the mess he became.  I partially blame the coaches, they coached him to dump off and it worked for one season.  Opponents caught on

now he has become the dump off king...its in his DNA now.  he is afraid to release the ball

The NFL has by rule changed to game to reward passing offenses

not sure but the intangibles are off the chart

Tiki squated 1000 lbs in his workouts BTW.  but could not run a 4.27 or even close

I just have a hunch he is just what the doctor ordered

Masters degree Colunbia University,  fastest time South Carolina Pro Day  4.27, squats 700 Lbs and had the most reps of any RB with the barbell.....not your average RB.  Five foot 5, 200 lbs

Lets go Dante or as they call you "Turbo"

I hope they give him a shot

Tommy DeVito is the best Giants QB in my opinion

He has the right mindset and can make all the throws....also a good pocket presence

The other two will fail miserably I'm afraid before Tommy gets another shot

Meanwhile he's getting a lot of practice with the scout team

Its 3PM in Germany and I'm feeling a bit faint....maybe I need to get some sugar in me :-)

Anyway since the second shot I can't feel my feet- no joke there...

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 05, 2024, 08:32:14 AMMy point was not that Saquon was a perfect player or the best running back in the league - simply that, when healthy, he has generally produced at a high level. 98.8 all-purpose yards per game over the course of his 74 game career, and that actually includes all the games where he was clearly playing at a less than healthy level, ie the entire 2021 season and parts of other seasons when he came back from injuries sooner than expected and took a handful of games to get back to his normal self.

Jones' career numbers are clearly not anywhere near the QB-equivalent level of production that Saquon's are. I think that is plain as day, frankly.

You know I secretly never thought we could sniff a SB with those two in the backfield

Barkley is gone and overpaid Danny is going. Schoen will ease him to the side door this coming off season

There is hope for the future

Schoen likely felt like me but had to placate his boss and bide his time getting rid of them....anyway that's a thought.  Im happy with that possible addition by subtraction

I would not be so quick to crown Nabors....he has to prove he can handle NFL defenders and stay healthy

Right now Slayton is #1 until the results start to come in

College ball is not NFL ball
