We know the Giants love athletes. So I wouldn't be surprised if they had a higher grade on Njoku than Howard.  On the other hand, Howard appeals to a lot of teams because he had a four year career while Njoku only played two years.

One never knows when it comes to the Draft - so it will be interesting what the Giants will do at #23 if one or both of these players are there for the taking.  If either Bolles or Ramczyk are there as well, then what?  You can get a good TE in the 2nd or 3rd while your chances of landing a starting caliber OLT are very slim after Round One.
I'd be happy with any of those 4 falling to us in the first round!

Thanks for starting this thread MP. Hopefully more draft gurus add their choices too. It will give us a good research platform.

Brian and Matt, I was impressed with your breakdown of the Skins. Most of us have a good understanding of the Giants, but you guys did a great review on the the competition. I'll be watching to see how we defend the TEs. I think Robinson gets a lot of snaps.

Outstanding stuff guys! I enjoyed the back  and forth views with Brian and Rich. I often listen to big blue kick off on Giants.com. Once they start taking callers I loose interest in rah rah talk. The three of you kept it focused and informative. A great recap for a Giants fan!

Perhaps the signing of Snacks indicates that they are changing their philosophy.
I would love a change in philosophy and get some speedy backs. TEs have been having career games against us. Personally I'd take the fast light guy who plays 3 downs over a 2 down thumper right now

I was not for bringing Spags back and trying to bring back glory of yester year.

That being said this defense is a complete disaster.  I honestly believe whatever Spags calls the opposition can easily exploit.  He is in a loss/loss situation.

Having the 23rd worse scoring defense and 32nd defense in total yards is an embarrassment to the franchise and needs to change immediately.

This defense is a sad, painful joke that hurts to watch.

The above sums it up for me. I am willing to give Spags another go with some new pieces, but I am not enamored with him like I once was.

Thanks for the write up UK!  Strictly speaking Right tackle, how do you rate Scherf against Collins and Peat? Who's 1, 2, and 3 in those rankings? Thanks!

Nice write up, thanks!  I'm anxiuos to see how the new OC uses Beckham. He had to have input into the offense needs for the draft. I was certain we would take Ebron in rd 1 based on an every down need. I expect a lot of three receiver sets utilizing Randle, Cruz, and Beckham. It will be interesting to see how we field 2 receiver sets.  For all the talk of multiple TE sets, I feel it will be a small amount of plays. To take Randle or Beckham off the field to replace with our second best TE doesn't seem like a good choice talent wise. Furthermore, if fullback plays will be limited, the TE better be able to block competently.
What do you guys think abpout our running game by streching the defense with 3 recivers? Can this be effective without the traditional fullback leading the way? By forcing the defense to honor the receiving threats? Furthermore, will our receivers be effective blockers in the run game? Lastly, I'm excited to see some screen plays and maybe even get Holiday some touches.

UK, what do you think of the Giants picking up one of the next tier tackle prospects in the second round to compete for the RG spot? This way they will have a plan B tackle in place if Beatty falters.Or do we draft a guard and use Charly Brown as plan B if Beatty regresses.

Thanks Vette and Chris for the tip on the Adams series. I will definetly check it out on Net Flix. I enjoyed learning about our highway sustem and some other posts on this thread. I find the whole thing interesting and appropriate in the offseason.  There Re a lot of intelligent and myriad perspectives to learn from.

I read about that, but didnt see the series. Whats it called?

I worked with my son on a Adams report. He wrote the Massachussettes constitution which became a template for our current one 236 years later(even though Jefferson gets most of the credit). This may be the single greatest contribution ever to our beloved country. I really respect the war presidents Washington, Lincoln, and FDR. What nags at me about Reagan is adressing the nation as our debt went ovee 1 trillion, called it just a number.  That number is now about 13 trillion that future generations will be burdened with. Only Clinton showed progress with this. As the worlds only super power, we wont maintain this status if we arent strong financialy.

I'm not suggesting he's the best Giant running back ever, probebly not even in the top 5 or 6. But does anyone else out there think that the name Rob Carpenter should show up somewhere in this thread?
Thanks coach!  My first few years as a fan was watching Carpenter mash into the defense for 5 yards every time with his shirt hanging out lookong all haggard. He was the only offense ( we didnt even have a Chris Calloway yet.
I also loved watching Hampton play, tough runner.
If not for the fumbles and ego, Tiki by a longshot
