Not going to be breaking any ground but this will be a really tough series. To me, Florida is very similar to Carolina but they have better goaltending

I'd struggle to keep the Giants out of the bottom four though. I thought we were worse than our 6-11 record last year, and I am not convinced the team improved in the offseason overall (yes we gained a couple of very talented players but we also lost three).
I'd probably go (in order of badness):
1. Pats
2. Panthers
3. Broncos
4. Giants
I think there is a bit of a gap between the two worst teams and the next group though. I don't put the Broncos in the same tier as the Panthers and Pats.

Quote from: coggs on May 17, 2024, 07:05:26 PMIs Igor expected to stop the shots that are wide or high, on top of the ones that are on net?Igor, and other goalies , regularly stop shots that would go wide or high. Every goalie considers themselves lucky when a shot hits the post or a crossbar.
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 17, 2024, 04:22:54 PMIf you knew this team was winning this game during the second intermission, kudos to you, but feel free to share that prediction in real time next time. Any dope can call people out with the gotchas after the fact.Any Ranger fan that was confident of winning last night, after 2 periods, after the awful game in game 5, was either smoking pot or drinking something strong or an eternal optimist. In fact, after rewatching the 3rd period, I'm of a mind that we were incredibly lucky to win. We survived a 3rd period where the puck hitting the post, another hitting the crossbar, another point blank shot from in close that went wide and another awesome (understatement) save from Igor. And, we scored on an iffy penalty call. I'm guessing that the Hurricanes, whom I cant stand, are kicking themselves for having lost a winnable game last night.
Quote from: Rosehill Jimmy on May 07, 2024, 04:57:53 PMI remember hearing an interview with either the radio voice or a beat writer with the Bills immediately after the hires. He said look for the Giants to increase the speed among wideouts as it was a trait Daboll valuesIts team wide need for speed, not just WRs
Quote from: AZGiantFan on April 29, 2024, 12:55:31 PMFor me, the 2 worst takes I've heard are that the receiver rich and QB-less Vikings wanted to trade up for a receiver, not a QB, and that the Giants were hoping that Alt fell to them. You can make the case that Alt was the Giants pick if Nabors was gone. Alt was a top 5 pick in more than one report, was regarded as the best OT in years and may have been BPA if Nabors was gone.
Quote from: DaveBrown74 on April 20, 2024, 12:16:14 PMLet me guess: the person who came up with this proposal is a Giants fan?A Giants fan that is celebrating 4/20
Quote from: Philosophers on April 18, 2024, 10:55:09 AMDo you think good QB play and good OL play would elevate Slayton's play further or is he sort of maxed out and at his ceiling? In another words, can he become a very good X?Short answer is no. Long answer, he can be more productive than he's been. But, if they draft a WR at 6, he won't get much of a chance especially if Hyatt learns to run his routes better as expected . Slayton wont be worth the money he wants
