To what end?  Is Mixon going to help the Giants make a deep playoff/SB run?  I doubt it; thus, I'd recommend the Giants avoid spending significant capital on any player over 26, who won't be on the team in 2-to-4 years, when they could reasonably be competitive. I prefer the use their limited resources on players who fit that category; obviously, this doesn't include 1-to-2 year low salary players, which are needed to fill-out rosters.

The Giants only have 6 picks in the upcoming draft with still a ton of needs.   There is no guarantee they will be able to draft a quality RB (especially as the draft is not rich in them).  So the Giants are still in the market for another RB, in my opinion.

Believe it or not, older veteran RBs often prove to be bargains.   Signing RBs coming of their rookie contracts tend to pay for past performance.   Signing slightly older RBs tend to cost about how they perform

Too expensive

No way he comes here given Schoens dislike of RBs

Who says Schoen dislikes RBs?

How do you know what it will take to sign him?

Do you have anything positive to add to this forum?

schoen has made it clear his opinion on

You can look at his stats and make an educated guess he will not sign for cheap

I have plenty positive to say. I will not entertain your antagonism

Schoen signed a pretty good RB to a team friendly deal and let an overrated one go who signed for way more than he is worth.

Schoen did well.

There is a reason that your arrival has spurred several "how do I use the ignore feature" requests.  We've seen your ilk come and go, possibly even you in a different incarnation, and I doubt you will last long here.
