He has enough time to think about his future.
If you respect the organization you are playing for, you make sure you make your mind up when you have to, so the organization can take the decisions they need to take when they have to.

Quote from: MightyGiants on March 21, 2024, 01:08:25 PMIs it Gettleman's fault that Barkley has significantly underperformed those who were drafted a round later?

I think you nailed it when you said he was overdrafted Rich.

Don't you think the expectations were so high exactly because he was drafted so high?

Quote from: MightyGiants on March 21, 2024, 09:13:42 AMThe one nice thing about Barkley leaving the Giants was that I was hoping we had seen the end of the talk and threads about Barkley.

Barkley was a huge disappointment who was over-drafted, underperformed, and overpaid.  He's gone, and I wish he was fully in our rearview mirror.

I couldn't care less what fans are still saying about the guy; it's between him and them.

This is probably a bit of a harsh take.

But the mistake was done by the person who drafted him at Nr 2. That was the primary mistake.

Drafting RB that high just doesn't work anymore in today's league.

I am finishing "The Dynasty: New England Patriots"

Bill doesn't get away too well from that...

I find the lack of communication on that front disturbing.

He should've communicated his intentions quite a few weeks ago.

Drafting another OL at #6 is probably the worst we can do at this point.

Evan Neal reminds me a lot of Ereck Flowers...

JJ McCarthy will be drafted by NE as the #3 pick in the draft.

The first 3 QBs in the draft will go in these spots. I am pretty sure.

I don't think the Giants will be in a position to draft a quality QB at #6 without reaching (and even JJ might be a reach at #6 imho).

Read reports yesterday that LV will hire AP as their HC.

If he doesn't land it he would be my preferred option as DC.

Quote from: Messiah717 on January 14, 2024, 07:16:13 PMMcCarthy should get a head start packing.

I think that'll happen.

With the team he had in hand, not advancing at all in the Playoffs is a failure.

I mean, I am not saying you need to get to the SB, but at least to the Divisional Round?

Quote from: Messiah717 on January 14, 2024, 06:32:52 PMThere's no way the miss the Dallas lineman moving on the TD before the half.
The officials kept Dallas in the game so far
