Hi to all,

Just wanted to give you an update on some changes to me. I've just recently moved back to NY (by myself) and am currently living with my mother again. Not due to her health or anything but because unfortunately my wife and I are going through a divorce now.

Birthday is TODAY!!! Nov 19, 1976. The big 34 today <:-P

peace for now

Hi to all,

It's been a little while since I've been last on (due to my new job--working in Bradenton Monday through Friday and coming home on the weekends to chill with the family) however, I am in agreement with this move. Anytime you can link up with other people that share your love for something (knowledge/info of the Giants) it can only be a tool to improve something.

Of course we run the risks of some negativity throughout conversations and posts, however I feel the MOD's on this site have proven to be fair when it comes to dealing with sensitive issues, and have also proved to be active in assuring the quality of this board to be maintained.

I look forward to it, and hope everyone can make room for some change.

Peace to all,
Aaron

BBH Archive / Re: To All Members

Hi to all,

I became aware of the BBWC because of my father's membership/friendship with many members from over there (who are now members here) after his passing a little over 3 years ago. Because of the love that was shown for my father and love that was expressed by many members to me and the rest of my family, I began reading over there at first. After a little while, I began posting long enough until Rich invited me over here. I still will always have a place in my heart for a few members over there and talk to them from time to time. I read this site everyday, sometimes I will post and sometimes I do not, but I check in daily. When threads are not appealing to me, I will check out the WC and post over there. This site is where my heart is and I love the relationships/conversations and debates  ;) that I have had many times with you guys here. This site is a family....and family members have agreements, and disagreements...and that's how you know you're family. The MOD's here have been outstanding, and is in no comparison to the other site. I feel that if my father were still present today, he too would be over here, and would have similar feelings with regards to certain members from the old board.

Keep up the great work,

peace to all,
Aaron

Hi to all,

Great job. I really appreciate the group photo with Harry Carson and my father in there. I also really like the new logo and merchandise as well.

Hi to all,

1. What part of the country do you live in?

I live in Kissimmee, FL. A few miles south of Orlando. via Ft. Myers ('01-'04), via Schenectady/Scotia, NY.

2. How long have you been a Giants fan?

For as long as I can remember. My guess would be ever since 1984, only because I remember watching the SuperBowl against the Broncos fairly vividly.

3. What do I do for a living?

I currently am a full time student at Florida Christian College, majoring in Counseling/Bible. I also work full time with the City of St. Cloud/Hopkins Park. I run a teen summer camp. I also work part time for my church as an associate minister.

4. Anything else you would like to mention about yourself?

I have been with my beautiful wife Misty for nearly 12 years, and we've been married for 6. I have four children; Cheyenne (11), Gracie (9), Aj (7), and Emmalee (5). I have been sober for a little over 6 years now. I coach all of my children's flag football teams, I coach/play on my college's flag football team, and play on my church's softball team. I've been playing basketball ever since I was 7 and eventhough I'm a little older now (31), I can still play with anyone.  I've been a Christian for only 6 years and have a very long way to go. I lead a D-group on Wednesday nights for married couples. I have 2 years left in school, and am possibly moving to either Lincoln, Illinois or Cincinnati, Ohio in 2010 to go to school for my Master's Degree in Counseling. My family and I have a Wii, and my kids think I am the Super Mario Grand Master because I can beat all of the games  My family is my life, and ever since being sober I have realized how detrimental my drinking was to my family early on. I love playing chess, and being a member here at the GC.

The Greatest Ever!!!

Hi to all,

I live on the campus of Florida Christian College in Kissimmee, Fl (South of Orlando). As a youngchild I lived in Rochester, NY until the age of 12. My family moved to Glenvill, NY when I was 13, and went to high school at CBA, and graduated in '95. Once I complete my degree here at FCC, my wife and I plan to move out of Florida, due to the outrageous prices in home-ownership. On average, a 3 bedroom 2 bath house here goes for roughly $300,000, and seeing how I will become an ordained minister soon, I do not believe that I will be able to afford houses in that range, so we plan on moving to states in the South (Alabama, Georgia, S. Carolina, N. Carolina, Tenn).

I have been a Giants fan since I can remember (7 or 8 years old). I used to get into trouble a lot, and my father grounded me all of the time. He couldn't trust me too much, so he used to make me sit down and watch the Giants with him. I remember him yelling at the t.v. often, and it used to make me laugh a bunch. I guess it made me like the Giants for that reason, and it just kept on growing inside me.

I am currently in college working on my major (Counseling) and minor (Youth Ministry) at Florida Christian College. I am currently in my Junior year, and work two full-time jobs. My first job is working at a local Christian High School, that enrolls students that have been expelled from the areas local public schools. Eventhough the school has the title "Christian" on it, most students are minorities that belong too, or have come from gangs of all sorts. Most kids also come from broken homes, and do not speak much of the English language. I work in the school as a tutor/counselor, and love it so much. My second job is during the summer and I run a high school summer camp for the city. I also help run D-groups for my Church, and go out and minister at pubs/bars/pool halls.

I am married to my wife (Misty), and we have 4 children. Cheyenne (10), Gracie 8, Aj (6), and Emmalee (4). Yes, we have suffered through many broken tv's in our earlier relationship years  ;D I tried out to play quarterback for a local Arena Football team and to my surprise, I made the first cutts. I was one of 4 guys who were asked to stay after the initial try outs to continue on, and than was blown away by the other 3 guys (Who all played at major D-1 colleges). I coach my College's flag football team, and also play quarterback for them. I was recently asked to coach my son and daughter's football team this year, and that is on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. I am also in a steel-tip dart league, and can hold my own for most of the time.

We recently had the fantasy football draft, and I think I am a huge sleeper to win it. So watch out guys  ;)

Hi to all,

Okay guys, I am going to try and add my two cents of trivia to the board, and let's see if I can stump you all.

Can any of you name me the first person to slam dunk a football over the goal post? And the team and stadium it occured in?

Good luck

Giants History / I am completely excited about...

This board!

I cannot wait to read some of the viewpoints in Giants history that many of you hold due to all of your quality experience (and by experience, I mean age. And by age I mean that many of you guys are really old  ;D).

Nevertheless, with the fact that many of you guys know so much about the Giants that I have no clue over, I am truly excited to read some of the memories in which you choose to share with the rest of us on this site, so please hurry up and start sharing some of your fondest and least fondest memories known.
