He was more highly touted earlier in the year.  I think some of the reports are a bit hard on him.  At the least, he's a guy for the goalline and short yardage or could develop into the next starting RT.

I don't believe Diehl, O'Hara or Seubert had very flattering scouting reports either.

Just resign Cofield.  This kid is a rookie and hasn't played in over a year.

Sounds like Eric Metcalf

Giants will be running a 5-2-4 defense (with two hybrid DE at linebacker)

With all the speed in Philly, this pick is amazing.

I'd take the kid in third round if the doctor could define "hopefully".  Does "hopefully" mean he could return to football or workouts at the very end of his 12 week treatment as opposed to 6 months or does "hopefully" mean his career is in jeopardy?  A healthy Cannon would be a nice fit for 2012.  I'd write off 2011 though.

OMG - scratch Cannon of the list.  At least the early list.

I enjoy Gruden in the booth yet don't want a celebrity coach running the Giants.  I get entertained by a team, not a coaches personality.

I have been very wrong before and I definitely could be again with Cam, but if I were a GM I'd be very very nervous to take him near the top of the draft.  If Carolina goes for it, that would be one interesting situation where you'd have Clausen and Newton, pretty much polar opposites skillset wise.  I live in NC, so I'd kind've like to see how it plays out up close if it happens!

The moment Newton claimed "I see myself not only as a football player, but an entertainer and icon.'' I would have crossed him off my list.  The way he speaks in the third person and flatters himself tells me he's the perfect replacement for Ochocinco in Cincy.

Hey, the Jersey Shore cast will be making six figures per episode each for their spin-off shows.  Snooki was paid 32 grand to speak at Rutgers.  Think about that.  This is the world we live in.  These are the values we promote.  This is the future--no, I take that back, this is the PRESENT.

Was it Rutgers who paid the $32K to have her speak or did somebody else pay her $32K to speak at Rutgers?
