First train should be 3:30. If you don't want to wait or deal with the crowds take an uber from Secaucus.

Thanks!! There will be two of us!

I intend to write a letter to John Mara about the training camp fan experience.  There are plenty of ways they can improve on things.

I agree Rich, I think the entire experience could be different and much better....starting with the proximity to the players and coaches. I get that they need to be protected...but we're WAY too far away.

Meeting Andrew who is the cycling champ was definitely the highlight.

Eli Apple had a very nice practice

Webb had a very poor practice (to go along with a less than ideal practice yesterday).   Now we will see how he responds to some adversity.

I thought Gallman had a very good practice to go along with a very good camp.  I don't think Barkley got any snaps carrying the ball (but he did line up wide as a receiver).  Including a snap where he made Jenkins look foolish

Barwin is a crafty veteran who knows all the moves and have been embarrassing linemen all camp.

Got a look at the new OT and I think he has better feet than Flowers

Likewise Rich....you too Ed!

Thanks so much for hanging out with me.

I'm planning on being there...may come solo (checking to see if the wife wants to join).

Coming from the city and plan to take the train. Please let me know what I can bring.

What time does everyone plan to arrive (sorry I may have glossed over it)?

Thanks!!

NFL Draft, NY Giants style / Re: Trading draft picks

It may be ancient history but in 1971 the Giants traded their #1 to the Bears for C Bob Hyland and CB Bennie MaCrae. The Giants were 4-10, and the Bears with the #3 took OT Lionel Antoine who played 6 seasons. They also traded a #1 to Dallas for QB Craig Morton. That overall #1 turned into the HOF Manster DT Randy White.

It doesn't matter how many times I read this story I am always equally angry and sick each time.

Imagine giving up a #1 overall for Craig Morton. I know he was a good QB in his prime but he was pretty much done when we got him.

Truthfully, the way things are playing out...I wouldn't mind seeing Jon Gruden (I swear, I would've never said that a year ago!)

But given the current climate of coaches on the horizon, and the intrigue of adding a sibling rivalry to a natural division rival...I am beginning to warm to the idea.

I'd like Bill O'Brien if he was interested in leaving the Texans.

I would've loved this, but it looks like he's planted in Texas.

Spags defense requires levels of talent in very specific areas:

I am going to oversimplify this so...it is what it is.

He needs a DL that can hold the point of attack..DT's who can penetrate inside, and DE who can seal the edge.

He needs at least ONE Safety who knows how to read formations and can take proper angles on ball carriers/receivers.

He needs one MLB who is a legitimate run/pass defender and can stay on the field 1st through 3rd down

and he needs corners who can play bump and run coverage

the rest you can fill in with Journeymen and he will put together a defense that can make the necessary stop at the right time.

He has nowhere near any of the above mentioned assets with few exceptions (DRC, a healthy Prince, and a 2 handed JPP)

So the consistent theme here is......

To no ones surprise, I chose the last one. If he had a middle of the pack roster, and middle of the pack time missed due to injuries instead of near DEAD LAST in BOTH categories, I believe he would be 10-4 instead of 6-8.

I want a Front Office/scouting staff housecleaning. There is nothing wrong with this coaching staff IMO.

I think he's doing a good job considering his limited experience and the lack of talent with which he has to play.

If we have a consistent OL configuration and a complementary WR and TE next year, this could be a scary good offense. (Yes, I acknowledge, that's a lot of "if"s)

Giants History / Re: Frank Gifford has died

Great talent. Class human being. The original Giant for life.

IMHO He deserves more recognition than a #16 patch on the team uniform this season.

Maybe Eli could wear his number in tribute this year.  =D>

I personally would LOVE to see that.

R.I.P. Mr. Gifford, than you for always exemplifying Giants pride.

Hey guys. I've relocated to Hoboken, New Jersey (actually working in New York and probably spend more time there LOL).

No more Georgia for me  :D    That brings the Georgia total down to a BIG Goose Egg LOL

Hoping to meet many of you at training camp this year!
