Quote from: Bob In PA on October 30, 2023, 03:46:43 PMThe kicker's right side preference probably figured into the OC's play call. It would have figured into mine. Bob
Actually the receiver came back from his corner route to extend time and get open for Wilson to get him the ball. Adoree Jackson completely blew the coverage perhaps thinking he has help on the inside which he did not.

He carried the Offense on his back against a team knowing he was going to run. 3.6 YPC under those conditions is other worldly.

Actually, I stand corrected. He did. It was spotted right hash.

Quote from: MightyGiants on October 30, 2023, 03:26:09 PMOne thing I noticed the Jets gave themselves a less than generous spot, the actual spot was about a yard further.
Didn't matter in this case. What mattered was that he spotted it dead center.

Quote from: Bob In PA on October 30, 2023, 02:43:29 PMRich: Sounds to me like if the UMPIRE spotted the ball and the BACK JUDGE touched it, that's good enough.

Since that's what happened according to the NY Post, I suppose there was no violation of the rule.

Regardless, we still elevate our draft position by losing (a ray of sunshine in a cloud of despair? lol).

Bob
It's not what happened. The Jets player spotted the ball and the judge come in and touched it as Rich quoted Zebras. I posted a pic in the thread I started last night.

That would mean a broken rib, right?

Quote from: Quick Kick on October 30, 2023, 11:24:14 AMI think the Giants should have let the Jets have the ball first in OT.
My reasoning is they were not going to score a TD on their first possession to win and the D was playing well enough to get a stop if the Jets got the ball.  Now all the Giants needed was a FG to win.
Why give it to your offense who was unable to move the ball.  Give it to your defense get a stop, get back momentum and hope for a FG. A 3 and out by the Offense just gives the Jets mo and deflates the D.
I was screaming the same thing at the TV yesterday.

Also Rich, since the entire second half was run plays, I was wondering how many pass plays they used to grade the Receivers.

Rich, I saw McKethan in as the 6th Lineman in place of a TE in the Run Game. How many snaps did he have and what was his grade?

Quote from: Gmo11 on October 30, 2023, 04:38:02 AMDid Devito do anything at all to inspire confidence when he was given the chance to throw early? Behind that OL without his best receiver and looking mostly shell shocked while the defense was all but pitching a shutout I'd argue 3 and out + punt was a greater chance of winning the game than telling Devito to go wild and hope he doesn't take a sack/fumble or throw a back breaking INT.

Probably should have still handed it off on 4th and 1 and hoped for the best though.
In retrospect, running the ball there would have eaten the clock with a first down. Even if they failed, it would have done the job. But you have to expect your kicker to make a chip shot even with a bad knee. He had no problem with kickoffs.

No, not at all. Read.
