Big Blue Huddle / Re: Giants the only team in 20 years...

while it didn't help our record much, TO's usually are one of the two most important factors IMHO for winning in football.  The other is injuries.  The latter has hurt us a lot in recent memory.

have to watch for injury history, age and likely cap hit in the decision making process

i remember talking with Spags at camp in albany, way back then.  Such a nice guy, open, friendly...not to mention a great coach.  When he was our DC I posted that the Giants needed to sign him to a long-term contract, but sadly he left for the HC job that didn't work out.  Glad he has found success and a home in KC.

as always, horses and dogs...Budweiser's ad was so-so, but the animals are GREAT.

I like it too but IDK some of those guys last as long as projected here.

OOL first, then edge LB or CB, WR no sooner than 3rd rd.  there will be god wr's then

owners want to rack up those sky miles....they need the $$$$$$ so badly.   tough on the players, but nfl is going global.  IMO there will be teams overseas by the 2030's.  london.  munich.  frankfort.  mexico city.  and there's always our neighbor to the north where the bills have played, toronto.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: Upcoming free agent RBs

is anyone under 27, and does he have a generally free injury-free record?  if not, draft one or just resign SB for a 3 year deal in the 15-18 million range.

Big Blue Huddle / Re: What QB would you trade up for?

No....either no real change/progress, new learning curves, all the other needs, and IMO some of the 'top' prospects will be nfl busts.  So, NO.

these draftniks always seem to put a premium on QB and WR.  After all they get the most coverage and hype most of the time all season long.  But you need 11 on O, 11 on D and ST's and backups, and they all can't be qb's and wr;s.

could those SB teams have won the Lombardi with Rivers as qb?  or, as many postulated then - by trading back or waiting to draft big Ben rather than trade up.  Glad things worked as they did for Eli and the Giants, but we did give the ranch to make that trade.

Reeves was a RB who threw a decent option pass.
