Hi guys!

I've been away a while, been busy, but I am back. As with all of us, I am in big for the draft starting Thursday. Today, I cut a podcast with our very own BBH draft analyst: Ceri Dovey, aka UKGiantsfans. On the podcast, Ceri discusses offensive players who might be good fits for the Giants, with a heavy emphasis on interior linemen and wide receivers. The cast runs 28:34. Check it out and enjoy!

In this podcast, Ed Vette and I discuss the recent hire of Joe Judge as Giants head coach, and how this hire might impact the franchise. We also examine the hiring process, the decision to retain GM Dave Gettleman, and potential assistant coaching hires. Please note that this track was recorded yesterday afternoon; software issues prevented me from processing the mix until today. As such, we were caught as flat-footed as most every other NFL fan in regards to the Tennessee Titans beatdown of Baltimore! Also, the announcement that Tyke Tolbert was being retained at wide receivers coach was announced after this was recorded. For the record, I like that the Giants' decided to keep Tolbert.

Enjoy!

Much like the Giants, Washington is a team in transition. They entered the season under Head Coach Jay Gruden, the brother of Raider HC Jon Gruden. In five previous seasons as Washington head coach, Gruden had a compiled an unenvious 35-44-1 record, with just two winning seasons and zero playoff trips. After an 0-4 start, including a Week 4 24-3 loss to the Giants where he replaced starting quarterback Case Keenum with rookie Dwayne Haskins, Gruden panicked. In the Week 5 game against New England, Gruden started neither Keenum nor Haskins, opting instead for ten-year veteran backup Colt McCoy. The Patriots crushed Washington, 33-7, and Gruden was fired the following morning. He was replaced by Assistant Head Coach/Offense Bill Callahan.

Now 63 years old, Callahan has a coaching resume which goes back to 1980. He has limited head coaching experience: 2002-2003 in Oakland, and 2004-2007 at the University of Nebraska. Both stints were overall failures. As a coordinator, Callahan is a name that Giants

Hi all. I apologize for the late hour of this report. I was ill this weekend and could not get it typed up before today. I am rushing to get it completed and posted in time to remain pertinent prior to this evening's game. I am starting with the defensive line. With notifications, I will add the linebackers, secondary, and specialty teams sections as I get them completed. Thank you for your patience.

Rod Marinelli is a textbook example of a top-notch coordinator who did not make the grade when given the opportunity to make the jump to head coach. Marinelli began his NFL coaching career in 1996 with Tampa Bay. Then-rookie head coach Tony Dungy brought in Monte Kiffin, with whom he had worked with in Minnesota, as his defensive coordinator. Dungy and Kiffen designed and installed the Bucs with a

A very interesting interview with Emory Hunt, aka "EmDiggy," of Football Game Plan. Emory is a frequent visitor and contributor to the BBH. His Xs & Os segments are particularly entertaining. In this interview, Emory give his analysis of the present state of the Giants front office, coaching staff, and on-field personnel. He also talks about personal connections he has with two current Giant coaches and one current Giant player. Enjoy!
