Jaime, you had to mentioned that name again. Bruce Johnson, the lone Johnson on the Giants.

I'm thinking of having a banner size photo of B Johnson just for Lenn's appreciation and enjoyment !!!

g.g., does that for Lenn as well? Cause when he gets on a roll, I swear i c smoke comin' out of his ears... :what:

LOL, I would like to see that Jaime.  I'm sure the smoke coming out of Lenn's ears isn't toxic... just thick !!!

I'm going to respectfully ask that all smokers, cigarettes or cigars, please smoke in the front yard.  I promise you'll still be able to see just about everything !!!   Thank you in advance.

Sorry Weeze, I certainly didn't mean to insinuate that.  Let's say the parking spot is reserved for the furthest traveled guest !!!!

First, many thanks in advance to George for agreeing to host the BBQ.

Second, will the moderators start a new thread with who's coming and what we should plan to bring?

Very welcome Rick, happy to do it.  It should be fun.

I believe Ed is keeping track.  If I remember correctly, a short time back he mentioned the number 16.

well it looks like i am going to have to bow out .....i left it too late putting in my vacation request and when i went into work today i was told  it got denied....i have almost no seniority at this place which sucks and other people have booked time off around that weekend

on a brighter note, they told me i was good for the time off in november for the bengals game

Terry, sorry my friend.  You will be missed.

Thanks Ed, I appreciate the kind words.

Ok, let's do this.  Anyone who wants to bring food for the BBQ that's fine, no problem.  We can try to determine ahead of time what else will be needed.  I will be happy to front the money and those who are going to 'kick-in' can just pay me on Sunday.  I'm in between two large grocery stores so shopping is no problem.  I am taking Friday off to do so some preparation and will attend the dinner on Friday night hoping Shelley will attend as well, not sure about Saturday night yet.

I really don't mind doing some shopping, it's really no big deal.  The only thing we need to think about is I have limited refrigerator and freezer space.  I can get the paper goods, ice, soda, juice, etc.  We can always go shopping first thing Sunday morning for anyone who needs meats etc.  I'll also pickup those flavored ice things for the kids [well, grownups can have some too] !!

Is NOON time ok for everyone on Sunday???

Let me know what else I can do.

I've been thinking abouthow each one of us is supposed to bring food, drinks to the BBQ.  With everybody arriving at a different time & from a different place, it's going to be difficult to bring cold drinks, meat, salads, etc.  So, I was wondering...  Since it's going to be at George's, how about we each send George an amount of money to pay for everything &, IF HE'S WILLING, he buys all the supplies needed?  The amount of how much we send will be determined by George.  Whaddya all say?

I'm willing, no problem.  Just let me know what you all want.

I know that, George.  THANKS!  But I just thought it would be good if everybody went to the same place.    I'll do some checking.

That may not be very probable at this time.  I would expect a large crowd coming to Giants camp this year and multiple rooms may be hard to come by at any one place.  Good luck with that.

Jim, there are a number of motels around the UAlbany area on Western Ave, Wolf Rd. etc.   A Google search will give you a number of results.  Let me know if I can be of any help.

Works for me.
