2023 DJ is out; Taylor doesn't make it three games before getting hurt.


Tyrod is 34 years old. Would a team even sign him as a backup at this point?

Rich: Taylor was just plain unlucky to have incurred such an injury.

As an "old man" in football years with plenty of NFL experience involving several teams, he should have known better than to come to "Injury-Central" at his age.   

I just hope he's ok. Until yesterday I didn't know he had suffered a previous unlucky event during a prior hospital stay. I never liked his game much, even in college where he was successful, but once he became a Giant... I didn't like Y. A. Tittle much either while he was on his first two teams.

I think the answer is yes, but probably not for $5.5mm per.

Exactly!  The only thing worse than an injury-prone starter is an injury-prone backup, especially at a critical position like QB.
