What you can do is convert salary into bonus.   Salary hits the cap the year it's paid.  The bonus is spread out over the length of the contract.  So yes, even fully guaranteed contracts can be restructured.

The Browns are fools. This was a terrible contract to begin with, and now they're looking to max out in 2023 when they weren't even playoff material in 2022? The AFC is basically where all but one or two of the good teams are. They're going to stink for years. I guess we could have said that a few decades ago though and been right.
