- FA WR's -

Jamison Crowder

Ashawn Robinson

- FA CB -

Amani Oruwariye

- Good players re-signed or still ascending -

QB Daniel Jones
RB Saquon Barkley

OT Evan Neal

DE Ojulari

So, it seems to me they are...

Better at stopping the run.
Better at LB.
Better at CB.

With the remaining 7 draft picks still left, they may be able to upgrade the C and WR positions which would improve two more areas of need and weakness.

I'm probably missing a few other players here, but it seems to me this team on paper is more powerful than last years and should be better.

Plus, they are very young as well, am I wrong?

Feel free to agree or disagree with me, but I am curious your thoughts?

Jolly Blue Giant

Seems like you pretty much nailed it. I believe we're better set to stop the run. I'd like another run stuffing LB to add to what we have. Need to shore up the offensive line and continue to add weapons on the offense, and we need to add to the defensive line if a player becomes available
The joke I told yesterday was so funny that,
apparently, HR wants to hear it tomorrow

Philosophers

I think we may trade up again and forgo more picks for quality.  Fill C and WR.

One other area I forgot to address was S.

There is Brian Branch still available, so he could be picked to fill another need with a solid player.

So, I'd say they need a C, WR, and S to fill in this draft, but we will see how this plays out.

4 Aces

Appreciate the thoughts. We're still a ways away from the ideal - the roster so loaded everything comes easy, like the Eagles have now. No real needs, free to reinforce the DL with 2 more freaks. That was the Giants under Parcells and Coughlin.

But the Giants are quietly putting together a solid core on D:

*Thibs and Dexter Lawrence up front.

*Okereke at 3-down MIKE.

*Banks and McKinney at DB.

Their young studs are distributed at Edge, DT, MLB, CB and FS. Well-constructed D that is solid at every positional group.

And they've got Jones/Barkley/Waller/Thomas/Neal to build around offensively.

There is enough core talent in place to have a consistent playoff team moving forward. The framework's in place.
