Didn't Schoen spend a 2nd round pick on a center and multiple picks including the 7th overall pick last year on the offensive line?  Not sure how you can say he ignored the line or hasn't tried to upgrade the line.  Investments have been there results haven't.

Who cares where they are drafted. They arent good players. So their evaluation skills need to be questioned. I am not including JMS since he is a rookie. But Neal has been a colossal bust. Glowinski was a disaster. Ezedu is terrible. McKathean is a 5th round pick who is forced to start because the initial players are terrible.

He didnt ignore the line - he didnt upgrade it. Huge difference.

Nobody has drafted/signed more O Line over the last 3-4 years than the giants. Aikman said it Monday night.

This is a poor take lacking in both fact and logic.

Two regimes have tried to upgrade the line, the fact that it's not panned out (bar Thomas) is a different story.

There is a difference between saying that they didn't try to upgrade the offensive line and saying the moves they've made haven't resulted in better line play.  The former isn't true.

Nobody is singularly blaming Jones here or anywhere else. That's a straw man. Everyone acknowledges that just about everyone on the team is playing below where they should be playing.

Jones has been playing poorly though, and I don't even think that's up for debate at this point. It's also definitely not up for debate that he makes much more than anyone on the team and plays the most important position, so for Banner to claim criticism of him is unwarranted seems off base to me.

The OL sucks, but DJ is not the guy, many of the sacks are his fault, as are his piss poor decisions.

Saying they haven't upgraded the offensive line is implying they haven't tried to upgrade it or haven't made strong enough investments in it.  It's being completely dishonest.

Being honest would be him stating despite heavy investments in the offensive line the Giants have not been able to get better line play.

If a QB needs 5 elite starters on the OL in perfect harmony, elite WRs, TEs and RBs, and whatever else you want to prop him up with, then he is not the guy

Maybe we should stop giving KT so much hate? Maybe if his rookie CBs started playing like prime Revis, he would have more time to get to the QB. Moreso making a point, not defending nor advocating for KT just an example.

Its tough to have exchanges and back and forth with statements like this. Not one person said he neede 10 elite teammates surrounding him.

It could be easily argued with what he worked with last week and this week, we dont even have 1 average player around him.

To say he doesn't have a single average player, after DANIEL egregiously missed Waller open in the end zone along with other plays that have been shared multiple times in others topics, while also being responsible for most of the sacks, is a poor evaluation of what has gone wrong with this offense.
