TD: Although the OL was "valiant" last night, there was not a single play where DeVito had enough to throw those types of routes.  Luckily for the Giants, Kafka had a few medium-range schemes ready, since that's the longest anyone except our left tackle can hold a block. Bob
If Jeff Hostetler could do it, Daniel Jones can do it !!!

I know Robinson is small but when I see him on the field, he looks like a high school player size-wise. I hope he can take a hit.

I think a #15 jersey will be flying off the shelves before our next  game.

Wait, does anyone even have a #15 jersey in stock?  :-??  :-??  :-??  :-??  :-??
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

I going to disagree.  I think Kafka has stepped up his game and expanded the playbook for DeVito and an OL that had improved significantly with Thomas and Schmidt back.  I'm now thinking that Kafka may have gotten a bad rap earlier in the season given the state of the OL and the inability or unwillingness of Jones to throw deep

I believe it was during the Washington game where he caught a pass on the left side and he was headed out of bounds. The defender had a line on him to make sure he did indeed go out. Robinson lowered his shoulder and delivered a blow that brought back memories of how Bradshaw used to hit defenders. The kid is tough.

squib: Interesting you should raise that point.

Robinson kinda reminded me of the Eagles' WR DeVonta Smith until I checked the stats.

Wan'Dale is four inches SHORTER but weighs 15 pounds MORE than Smith. Wan'dale is built to last.

But Smith is starting to show the effects of consistent pounding by LB's & DB's who've found, as I anticipated, that Smith can be beaten into submission.

I don't think Wan'Dale will fall prey to the same fate.

To be fair, Smith has been asked to run more "hazardous-to-your-health" routes than Robinson, especially since the Eagles began to flounder this year.

Yeah despite his size if you go back to his college tape at Kentucky he welcomes contact and seems to enjoy it.

I see him in the mold of Deebo. Not as versatile but definitely tough and gritty.

WanDale was lost to a knee injury last season and this is his first year back which is never 100% healthy.  That's why major knee injuries are devastating because you dont get to 100% until 2 years past.

The kid is playing hard and developing.  Give him time.

WDR is 5th in the league in Yards of Separation with 4.2. Slayton is next for the Giants at 2.8.

Bob. I'm seeing a pattern here with Daboll and Tommy. One week Jalin was featured, the next it was Saquon and this past week it was WDR. If the Giants can have an effective Rushing attack as I expect, we might see Waller featured if the Saints Linebackers cheat up in the Box. If not him, then maybe Cager has earned some Target time. Did you know he leads the team in Yards after catch with 7.7 YAC? The downside is it's only 3 Receptions. But he's become more of a willing Blocker.

I like this approach with a Rookie QB. Scheme and feature a target for Tommy's primary read and dumb down the progressions.

DeVito has plenty of arm strength

he often puts air under it to make the ball more catchable

its an art.....one that Jones cannot do at all
