Carmen Bricillo embarks on his second season as the offensive line coach with the Las Vegas Raiders, entering into his 20th year of coaching experience, his fifth at the NFL level.

In his first season with the Raiders in 2022, despite starting seven different offensive line combinations and not having a consistent front five until Week 5, Bricillo led an offensive line unit that only allowed 35 sacks, tied for the ninth fewest in the NFL. Under his leadership, the offensive line improved from allowing 40 sacks in 2021 (19th in the NFL) to 35 in 2022 (t-9th in the NFL). Bricillo's unit also paved the way 2,059 rushing yards by the Raiders offense, the most in a single season since 2011. Raiders rushers were also stuffed for a loss or no gain only 68 times in 2022, the fewest in the NFL.

Bricillo entered the NFL coaching ranks with the New England Patriots in 2019, serving as a coaching assistant before being promoted to offensive line coach in 2020-21. During his three years in New England, Bricillo helped the Patriots earn one AFC East title and make two playoff appearances.

In 2021, Bricillo helped the Patriots finished eighth in the NFL in rushing yards per game (126.5) and sixth in points per game (27.2). Additionally, Bricillo's line helped pave the way for RB Damien Harris, who set career highs with 202 carries for 929 yards and 15 touchdowns. Harris tied for second in the league with 15 rushing touchdowns, while recording the second most rushing touchdowns in franchise history. Collectively, the Patriots recorded 24 rushing touchdowns in 2021 behind Bricillo's line, a mark that tied third most in franchise history.

Bricillo helped the Patriots finished fourth in the NFL with 146.6 rushing yards per game in 2020. New England's 146.6 rushing yards per game also ranked seventh in franchise history, marking their best rushing attack since 1983.

From 2010-18, Bricillo spent nine years coaching the offensive line at Youngstown State. During his time with the program, Bricillo coached 15 All-Missouri Valley Conference selections and the Penguins advanced to the 2016 NCAA FCS National Championship Game. Behind his offensive line, the offense set multiple school years during his tenure including total yards (6,766 in 2016), yards per game (458.6 in 2011), rushing yards (3,883 in 2016), completion percentage (64.2 percent in 2011), passing yards (2,883 in 2016), passing touchdowns (27 in 2011) and points per game (36.2 in 2011).

Prior to his time at Youngstown State, Bricillo spent the 2009 season as an offensive assistant coach at Illinois and worked at Akron as director of video services in 2006 and a coaching assistant from 2007-08. Bricillo helped with the offensive line with Illinois and worked with the tackles and tight ends as a coaching assistant at Akron.

Bricillo began his collegiate coaching career at his alma mater, Duquesne, as the offensive line coach in 2005. Bricillo saw the team posted a 7-3 record and win a conference title that season, while also guiding four linemen to all-conference honors.

Prior to joining the staff at Duquesne, Bricillo spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Indiana Area High School.

Impressive

Bring RT Eluemunor with him

H-Town G-Fan

Greg Van Roten was a strong RG this past season and was not paid particularly well. Could be an option if this coach comes over. Have to imagine Glowinski is a goner.

Beat me to it

Cmon Dabs    work your stuff--a Coach and TWO of your players from one of the better offensive lines in the NFL

Van Roten is durable==played over 1000 snaps this year

Bricillo also got that performance out of a 1st rounder, 3rd rounder, 5th rounder, and 2 UDFAs.

Would be nice if we could bring someone in who would allow us to spend our draft capital on the many other holes across the roster and take advantage of the existing 3 1st rounders, 1 2nd rounder, and 2 3rd rounders on the Giants OL.

#Raiders OL Rankings:
- 13th in adjusted line yards
- 12th in PBLK Win Rate
- 14th in RBLK Win Rate
- 10th in Overall Win Rate
- 6th in Pressure Rate Allowed
- 9th in Sacks Allowed
- 4th in PBLK Efficiency
- 9th in RBLK Efficiency
- 2nd in Pressures Allowed
- 3rd in QB Hits Allowed
- 6th in Clean Pocket Rate
- 3rd in Average Clean Pocket Time (Time to Pressure)
- 14th in Contact behind LOS
- 9th in Second Level Blocking Efficiency

There is certainly some areas that need to be improved but the unit is not bad, it's performing at a near elite level with multiple injuries and a platoon starter at RG. Carmen Bricillo has been phenomenal
