He has a nice spiral and possess a good enough arm strength; in short, you're probably right, Joe.

Quote from: kingm56 on May 23, 2024, 02:56:54 AMSounds very similar to the reports from those who attended camp last season; for myself, I have never been worried about DJ's arm, or legs.  My primary concern has always been with his ability to process plays, anticipate throws, and deliver the ball through tight windows.  Having said that, I am happy he's healthy and able to showcase his skills. I am confident that DJ will work to be ready for the season; nobody should ever question
his work ethic!

Quote from: Ed Vette on May 22, 2024, 06:33:13 AMI think WDR will benefit underneath with Nabors and Hyatt commanding Cover 2.

Ed: THIS is what I hope for (at least in the initial four games).  After that, we'll see how good he really is. Bob

Every team same bye week
Maybe week 6 and week 14

ralph: Great idea. It'll never happen...  =))  =))  =))

PS. Another possibility is to schedule 16 games at foreign venues ALL on the same week, and put one bye on either side of that week. Bob

Runyan is a better LG than RG but Eluemunor is likely a better LG than RG which is why the combo is what it is currently.

Florida's PRESSURE, SPEED and WINNING THE CHASE TO THE PUCK set them up to control the game last night. Brilliant display of shutting down a potent offensive attack like the Rangers and, despite all that, it was 0-1 for two and a half periods so consolation prize for the Rangers in that they can't get down on themselves and must make some more adjustments and they'll get some pucks past Bobrovsky.

The game played out every bit like we all expected it to be. Intense, physical (but generally clean) and fast track. The dynamics of this series haven't even begun yet. The heavy artillery has yet to be fired.

Florida drew first blood, but just remember the Rangers have a recently good history of success in their building so take notes from this game, adjust the plan and go out and win game two, then split in their building to make it a three game series. This one will likely have to go seven for the Rangers to win it; otherwise, Florida will end this one quickly and finish their own season of destiny.

Peace!

Quote from: Rosehill Jimmy on May 23, 2024, 08:33:04 AMI thought Runyan was a LG and Eleumunor a RG?

You could be right. I vaguely remember Runyan saying he could play either guard, but his preference is for LG.

Quote from: Gmo11 on May 23, 2024, 06:17:32 AMI'm with King. He's throwing with accuracy and velocity. Cool. Better than the alternative but doesn't move the needle much for me. Let's see him do those things in a real game against a real defense before we start thinking year 6 is the year he finally figures it all out.

Hi GMO,

Good to hear from you.

However, you said you hope he finally figures it out in year six, however DJ already posted a 93.2 RTG which ranked him 13th, and a 60.6 QBR which ranked him 6th in 2022.

3900 total yards from rushing and passing, as well as a 22 TD to 5 Int ratio.

This all happened in his fourth year, while sitting for game 17 because they had already locked up a playoff birth.

Wouldn't you say he's already done those things against a live defense?

I'm now off to work.
