Big Blue Huddle

I don't mind it being a little more difficult. Anything that makes my brain get more excercise is a good thing. When I started playing waffle, it seemed pretty easy. After breaking my streak twice, I discovered that you really have to think it over before switching letters, or you quickly run out of "swaps". So now I study the grid until I think I know a word, but before I do, I look at the letter options in which I can swap to build the word. You get 15 swaps, and you have to think it through before swapping letters out. I've gotten where I like it a little better than Wordle, but I'll never stop playing Wordle.

I think the obscure words are trying to cover up the flaws in Wordle.  The problem was that people would develop skills that would make the game too easy over time.  For example, I am officially at 159 straight wins (there were another dozen or two that weren't captured before I synched all my accounts).   Games need to have a certain level of difficulty to make victories feel meaningful.   Another example would be guys like Bill, who routinely solve it with just half the guesses. 

So when people start the game, it feels like the competitive challenge is pretty good, but over time the game gets "too easy".  I wonder if they should cut the number of guesses down to 5 to increase the challenge level.

Or impose a time limit (or make the time you require part of your score somehow).

Since we seem to have broken the 10am rule lately with clues, I'll respond now.

I ran out of vowels and major consonants. Apparently Whizz although a word, is not in the WORDLE group of words. Luckily I thought of Whiff and not Whizz first. Lately, I haven't had much to work with in my starting first two choices.

My problem was what to do once I figured out the "H". Very few letters precede "H"..."S" gone, "T" gone, "C" gone 

Once I figured out it had to be a "W", whiff was the ONLY thing that crossed my deteriorating mind
