True, but "fan" is short for "fanatic".  I sort of expect some fans to behave that way, especially ones who really liked Barkley and were hurt or felt betrayed by Barkley joining a despised division rival.   I would think the wealthy players who have a new base of fans supporting them and cheering them couldn't be bothered with the nonsense.

By all reports, the Giants made a strong effort to trade up to draft Maye but that simply wasn't possible because the Pats wanted him as their quarterback.

So here is my question.

Are you upset because:

A) the Giants didn't ignore their board and drafted one of the lesser-graded QBs on their board

B) You disagree with the Giants' grades they had on the remaining 3 QBs, you at least one of them had a grade that justified drafting them 6th overall (passing on a blue chip prospect like Nabers)

C) Neither A or B, you are just unhappy with the circumstances (no "mistakes" made) that had the Giants come out of the draft with out a new QB

We're all really tired of the OL being awful and it sucks to have missed on some FA OL in the past AND to live with the likelihood that Neal isn't going to make it at RT. I like the FA OL they got this year, but I've said that before. Still, I think given where they were at 6 and the fact that they couldn't trade to move into a spot to get Maye, I'm 100% on board with taking Nabers there. We still have to face QB reality, but they obviously didn't have conviction on McCarthy. I would not have taken Alt at 6.

If Tommy was in this years draft, he would have been sitting at a bar in downtown Detroit with Sam Hartman watching the draft.

Everyone likes Tommy and I hope he does well, but the Giants aren't going to carry three QB's and he's not making the final roster unless Jones or Lock get injured or traded. He's going to hit the waver wire and if he clears, he will wind up on the practice squad.

You had OJB, then Toney.  Neither seemed to be able to make a clean break with the team and the fans.  Well Barkley just joined that group

If they really believed in Jones, it would not matter who he was throwing to. Eli had some good receivers and a couple of almost elite and a lot of Jags. We're Nicks, Manningham and Cruz great receivers or did Eli make them look good? How would those three look on this team? The best receivers Eli had were Toomer, Odell and Plax. He found a way to get the ball to Smith, Tyree, and the rest.

I would have drafted Alt if not a QB. Evan Neal has to find a way to a starting role on this team. Either at RT competing with Alt or Guard. The best way to get better results from Jones is to protect him in the pocket. If you want to get his head clear, protect him. He didn't need a shiney hood ornament. Just ask this guy...
