I tried to start to watch Banchee on Hulu. I have basic Hulu and when I tried to watch it told me it was on Cinemax and, not Hulu.

I have HBO add on to Hulu. That's probably why. I think HBO owns Cinemax now. When the show starts, it shows the HBO logo and a few seconds in it also says Cinemax. Sorry Lenn, I thought it was straight on Hulu. Normally if you search for it on Hulu, it will come up on the right side of the screen and if you click it, it would say whether or not you needed the HBO add on. Since I already got it, it just goes straight to it. But I swear I saw that Banshee was a show on Hulu

Dark Winds just premiered on AMC this past Sunday evening. I saw ads leading up to it and it looked interesting.
The first episode didn't disappoint.
The shows starts with a bank robbery and then a double murder on a Native American reservation. The Native Americans want answers but due to the nature of the crime the FBI has to take the lead. The FBI's lead investigator & the Native American Police Lt. have a history that seems conflicted at best, but must work together to solve both crimes. As the episode progresses we learn a bit about the characters and we get a bit of a twist at the end.
I really enjoyed this. I thought the acting was top notch and the characters believable with an intriguing storyline.
A bit of action and some tense moments add to the good review I'm giving this. I've got my DVR set to record the series.

Looks very interesting. I'm learning a lot about tribal reservations, laws and such, by watching Banshee right now. Between the Amish, the Red-Neck bad guys, a NYC Ukranian mobster and his gan, and a bunch of rowdy Indians - I am being schooled. Hence, the native American side of this intrigues me. Looks like the only way to get it is to sign up for it on AMC+

Curious, how many episodes and seasons is this show? If it's like 8 episodes and 1 season, I'll just go the 10 day free trial and binge it... 

We are now three episodes into "The Offer", which is on Paramount, and I have to say it is excellent. It is a series that depicts the making of "The Godfather." It is extremely well done and with terrific acting. We are very impressed so far. There are 10 episodes total and we have gotten through three. We are hooked. There's a chance we could get through the remaining seven by the end of this weekend.

No need for AMC+, I watched it on regular AMC. I believe all new episodes will premiere on regular AMC before moving to plus.
Sunday was the very first episode of the series so there's not much to catch up on. Not sure how many seasons they plan. I guess it all depends on ratings.

We are away right now, but that series did look interesting, so the DVR was set and I hope to catch up when we get home.

ok, here's another one I just started watching and it already has me hooked. It's called The Old Man and it airs on FX. Jeff Bridges plays an ex-FBI operative living off the grid. John Lithgow is still with the bureau. Not too much is revealed about the past, but there is definitely a story there. For reasons yet unknown the Bureau sends someone to contact Bridges and let's just say things go south from there.
This first episode starts out really slow. So slow in fact, that I almost turned it off! But I stuck with it and glad I did. If you like espionage and spy thrillers, I think this is going to hit all the marks.
If you missed episodes 1 & 2 just check FX on your guide, they usually show reruns throughout the week. Not positive, but I think new episode of this air on Sunday or Monday.

My wife and I just got done with the final episode (episode 10) of "The Offer." I could not recommend this mini-series more highly. It's an absolute must-watch. Superb acting, superb script, great characters, great job of capturing the time period, just an all-around top notch show. You don't even have to like the movie "The Godfather" to enjoy this series. Just outstanding.

I checked out the trailer and it looks good. I'm going to put it in my "to watch" list. I always liked movies about movies being made and the real stories going on behind the scenes on the screen. I also like Collin Hanks. My favorite movie of this genre is probably "Get Shorty" which isn't nearly as serious as this one looks because there was a lot of subtle humor. I also enjoyed "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood". Thanks for the suggestion

My pleasure. I hate to overdo it, but again I really thought this was one was top notch. It is just perfectly executed across all the different criteria that make a show great. It really has a heart too. There were a couple of times I felt myself getting choked up, it's funny as hell at times, and the acting and script are outstanding. Just an all-around A+, and I don't say that often.

We just finished The Staircase. I know there is a separate thread for this, but I would recommend this to everyone.

I have a lot to say on this show, so I'm heading over to the other thread for it.

Forged in Fire, the manliest reality/game show ever created. Just watching it adds hair to my chest and makes me want to burn down my house attempting to forge a blade.

The Weakest Link, one of the few remakes that outdoes the original. Still too many weird looking contestants on it, but it's tolerable.

Wall of Chefs, a Canadian cooking show wherein four home cooks attempt to impress a panel of famous chefs. (There absolutely should be an American equivalent of this.)

And The $100k Pyramid, because Michael Strahan is the host.
