Florida is a bad match up for the Rangers, that simple. Too much grit and  stamina every game it seems. Still, their power play is overdue to get going. Let's hope so. Go Rangeerz.

5 games that all could have gone either way.  Last night was tough.  When he pulled Igor, I said it was too early.  I know the trend in the league now is to pull with 2:30-3 minutes to go, but I have always thought that was too early when you are down 1 unless you are on a PP.  1:00-1:30 is the time.  Oh well.  Win saturday and force game 7.

Quote from: Jclayton92 on Today at 08:20:54 AMYour may be in a select minority of 30 fans that think that the Jones deal was a good one for this franchise. Even fans that are really big advocates of Jones realize the deal was bad.

3200 passing yards and 15tds is not good production as we've stated multiple times and yet you still push it as a great season and not the mirage that it was.

2022 was all about Barkley, it's amazing once we Barkley hit the wall in Houston our offense completely fell off and we limped to the finish.

You misread and misapplied what I had stated. What I was inferring was that Daboll and Schoen made the right decision in drafting Nabers and coupling him up with Jones, instead of drafting the 4th or 5th best QB left on the board.

I also respectfully disagree with you that the offense completely stalled in 2022 after the Houston game.

DJ threw for 334 yards against Minnesota in week 16, and again for another 301 yards in the playoff game combined with another 78 yards rushing.

I'm now off to work, enjoy

Maybe Waller could try out for one of those reality show contests like Survivor.. Maybe not. Might get injured stepping on a sea shell.

I don't care what he does in his free time.  I think its ridiculous he has kept the Giants in limbo this long.  I am sorry he went through or is going through a tough time, but its long past time to make a decision.  I am guessing there is some financial gain for the team if he retires versus being released.

At this point, I suppose any outcome with him not playing for the Giants is a post 6/1.  Am I wrong about that?  If he is released Monday, can it be anything other than post 6/1?  11 million cap savings this year for that.

Remember when NFL players had to have jobs in the off-season, not teasing a musical career? They called Chuck  Bednarik, Concrete Charlie, cause that was his job after the season.

I think it's fine for these guys to have interests and hobbies outside of football. For many of them, football may just be a job and their passion may lie somewhere else.

That being said, passions can't interfere with showing up for work and being ready to go when called upon. Does Waller making his music in the offseason mean he's distracted from his responsibilities to the Giants (should he not retire)? I certainly don't know. But at best, he's inviting scrutiny given he hasn't made a decision on retirement. That, in and of itself, it questionable decision-making to me.

Do whatever you want to do... but actually make the decision instead of floating around in a nebulous in-between.

Quote from: Messiah717 on May 30, 2024, 10:58:28 PMSoft team that will be soundly eliminated in Florida.  Mika should be told to lift his NTC and be sent out of here.  Completely invisible and useless out there.  Panarin went from MVP like play during the season to just wanting to skate around the perimeter.  You can't win when your top line produces absolutely nothing.  Very stubborn by this coach to not move Lafreniere up to top PP line.  No adjustments and stubbornness from a HOF coach.

The Rangers have been soft since the Emile Francis days, except for one year. Why do you think my posts have an aggressive, even violent lean to them? Why do you think I've wished for an infusion of Ranger fan frustration into the personna of this team ala Young Frankenstein? (AB Normal) If that were the case then Tkachuk's mouthguard would need to be surgically removed from his chin. Panarin has opportunity to shoot from the high slot on the PP but doesn't. They are doing a good job of screening Kreider. So instead of looking for Kreid's stick/body for a deflection do the same with the screening Dman. If it goes in off a Panther it's still a goal. Create some chaos in front of their net by aiming for deflections off Panthers, from the sides, and from behind the net. They can win two games in a row. We're down, and frustrated. We want to WIN. Winning for us is The Cup, winning for the league(Bettman) is $$$$$$, and fan interest. A fundamental difference. That's a discussion for another time. If Florida wins then I hope Dallas wins the West. A ho-hum series in June that won't draw large viewership except for die hard hockey fans, and the 12 people in Toronto that will still care since Edmonton will be out. Dallas will be consumed with the Mavs.
