You have a QB making top 10 money and or 40 mil a year which is like double what Eli Manning made.
You can't have it both ways and say the Chiefs WRs suck but, surrounding cast makes up all the difference between players like Mahomes and Daniel Jones. Admittedly Mahomes would not look the same here. Admittedly Andy Reid really is hitting on all cyclinders. And yes their TE Kelce is great. But eventually you have to call a spade a spade. THere is only so far the Giants are going to go with a QB that either can't take care of the ball or becomes so conservative that he he passes for like 165 yards a game and not even 1 TD a game.

When analyzing Jones' 2022, too many people ignore a lot of the obvious. The offense still wasn't good and certainly wasn't the catalyst for our season. The passing game was built on short, safe, high percentage passes. While it's great that he didn't turn the ball over a lot, a decent amount of that can be credited to the offensive game plan. There was very little explosiveness or risk taking in that offense all year.
The grand scheme of analyzing QB play is like 80% narrative and 20% actual analysis of play.

THere is not even the remotest possibility paid to the fact that maybe Jones is to blame for this; for Golladay being a shell of himself; evan engram ; k toney . I always said it must be really boring playing w Jones. One read and takes off running.. Maybe Garrett was right in making this offense so dumbed down. And maybe Daboll made this a power running offense for a reason. THat reason is Jones is very very limited as a passer. Everyone "in the know" knew and Gettleman still ignored them to do what he wanted. Which is why he's no longer GM and why 99% of Giants fan see his tenure as the darkest time for the Giants in their lifetime, because it was.
