Quote from: Jclayton92 on May 18, 2024, 09:07:55 PMCurious to see who we practice with this offseason in joint practices. They should go back to Albany. If I owned the team, I would close practice to the public and the Media except for one practice in the stadium.
Last offseason the Lions dominated us in joint practices and I remember the story being oh well Dan Campbell is an intense guy so the Lions probably practice hard-core and go all out being at home.
Then 1 series in Carolina with 4 vanilla Waller catches later and we are the greatest show on turf.
So wild to see the narrative run wild because 90% of the beat writers thought the offense was going to be great after that carolina game.
Quote from: LennG on May 18, 2024, 07:58:43 PMIf the pitcher lost contact with the rubber, I would think a base umpire would call that as it would be almost impossible for the plate man to see that.
Quote from: y_so_blu on May 18, 2024, 09:05:32 PMThe prices make absolutely no sense. The design isn't even that special or interesting. No Giants logo even.I wonder what genius is behind this?
You could buy a generic custom t-shirt with "1925" on it for what, $20?
Quote from: Jclayton92 on May 18, 2024, 09:09:33 PMI just spoke about this in another thread. I hope we practice with all 3 teams. Those practices will be the biggest tell as to were this team is currently. Not any of the otas, training camp, or preseason games.Have they ever done that?
Quote from: LennG on May 18, 2024, 07:48:15 PMThere is a scenario where the umpire seeing that the runner intentionally interfered with a fielder CAN call a double play, with the runner out and the batter also out. It is rare as you would have to anticipate that the ground ball would have been a DP, and the runner did what he could to stop it. It is a legitimate call though.
Quote from: Ed Vette on May 18, 2024, 08:09:13 PMThere was some talk of another joint practice session with the Lions. If so that would be here.I just spoke about this in another thread. I hope we practice with all 3 teams. Those practices will be the biggest tell as to were this team is currently. Not any of the otas, training camp, or preseason games.
Quote from: EDjohnst1981 on May 18, 2024, 02:44:20 PMFair enough, if that's his point of view but I think we've learned from last year not to glean anything from the pre-season, let alone OTAs and mini-camp.Curious to see who we practice with this offseason in joint practices.
Quote from: Ed Vette on May 18, 2024, 07:57:31 PMHe has the Receivers, whether he has the Oline or not, its not his fault. According to almost everyone here besides us. So, unless he's not healthy, why would they pull him? To keep him healthy so they don't have to pay an injury clause? Admit they were wrong about him and not drafting a QB?That injury clauses is a very real concern for a guy that has played 16 games only once in his 5 seasons in the NFL.
