Sometimes I wonder if Rangers fans have actually watched this team all season.  They won 55 games for a reason and have not had a long losing streak all season.

Quote from: files58 on May 16, 2024, 08:49:42 PMCarolina wants it more. The Rangers are showing a deficiency I thought they had before the season started, the need for more speed. You all know how I feel about certain intangibles, the need to play a mean game.  :cuss:  :cuss:  :cuss:  :banghead:

definitely.  Carolina will win the series on saturday.

Quote from: DaveBrown74 on May 16, 2024, 08:48:50 PMIt's been a slow moving car crash ever since that ridiculous late penalty in game four, leading to the game winning goal for Carolina. Been a complete disaster since then. Our guys look utterly lethargic in comparison to the opponent.

At this point (second intermission) the Hurricanes are now a favorite in this series. I know nobody wants to hear that, and I don't either, but it's a fact.

Quote from: Messiah717 on May 16, 2024, 08:42:27 PMWhat a disgusting collapse this is going to be.  While there's no excuse when you're up 3-0 in a series a lot of this will rest on Drury's shoulders.  Added absolutely nothing at the deadline to help the Rangers in the playoffs.  Two guys who lack offense and are complete non factors.

What a 3rd period. I thought they were unlucky to be one down after 1.

The Canes came hard and the Rangers rode their luck in the open 3-4 mins of 3rd but after that the Rangers were excellent. I said to my son, they just need the next goal. What a performance from Kreider, Bread was good, Zib was lively. Unreal 3rd.

Hopefully Boston take Florida to 7 as I think the extra time off will be most useful.

Edit - 8 to go!

I've said it before - this is a special group.

Absolutely incredible! Been a fan since the early 80s. Definitely one of the top five most riveting wins I can remember. This team was absolutely dead in the water after two periods.

I'm very glad the Canes went back to Freddy Anderson...  guy is a total disaster.

Big Blue Huddle / The Drew Lock-Bo Nix compariso...
Last post by Ed Vette - May 16, 2024, 09:53:33 PM
"He (Nix) had two or three down-the-field throws today. It's almost like watching a good golfer. Sometimes when you watch his game over two years, there's a patience to how he plays. The ball comes out, and—I don't want to use the term 'boring,' that's not the right term, but [he makes] pretty good decisions. With each play, the efficiency of how he's operating, and all of that."

"Former Denver Broncos head coach Vic Fangio is a big baseball fan, and he pulled out a baseball analogy during Drew Lock's rookie training camp to paint a picture of where Lock was at when he was in his first NFL camp coming out of Missouri:

"I don't think he's far along being a ready NFL quarterback as he could have been. That's what I mean when he's got to get ready. He's not a quarterback yet. He's a hard throwing pitcher that doesn't know how to pitch yet, so the faster he gets that the better off he'll be and we'll be."

Meanwhile, early reports out of NE on Drake Maye, are not glowing. He's got a lot of work to do.

I'll take a stab at it. First of all, I think the runner has to go back to 1st base. I don't know what, if anything, happens to the batter. So I think it's either B or D. But I'll take a guess, the batter is called out for interference, runner back to 1st.
