Quote from: kingm56 on Today at 11:31:08 AMI fundamentally disagree with you. We have discussed this premise ad nauseam over the last 2 years; when said subject arises, I ask posters to cite just three veteran QBs over the last 3 decades that significantly improved with an elite QB and/or OL. For DJs situation, in the last 40 years, I cannot think of a single example of a player who played 60+ games that meets your description.
Quote from: AZGiantFan on Today at 11:31:30 AMAnother point I heard from some talking head is that with so many QBs taken high in the draft this year there may be less competition for QBs in next year's draft, if the Giants go looking.
Quote from: AZGiantFan on Today at 11:35:25 AMIs Odell still fast?
Quote from: MightyGiants on Today at 11:24:44 AMI agree, although some will point to the Bengals SB run as proof you don't need a line. I would counter by saying they haven't sniffed the SB since, and their QB is frequently injured.
Quote from: B1GBLUE on Today at 11:05:33 AMi think if it comes down to it, and we MUST make a move up next year, its a better year to do it than it has been in a long time. we have some CORE players. we have 2 young stud pass rushers locked up, an elite dt locked up, a semi elite mlb locked up, a number one corner locked up, a blue chip wr locked up, a franchise LT locked up. hopefully a franchise C locked up.
With all that being said, if there was ever a year in which i could see us trading up with our 1st round, and following 1st round pick, it would be the 2025 draft. not saying we are "a qb away", but we for the first time in a long time have a lot of core, normally high draft capital guys locked up.
Quote from: Uncle Mickey on Today at 09:07:13 AMTeam fixes OL or gets a dominant WR or both. Incumbent QB's confidence and production (if the QB is truly talented) suddenly goes up and is more consistent. Seen this rodeo play out too many times to assume our QB stinks just yet.
