I will add to what I was saying about @Jolly Blue Giant and @DaveBrown74 and their situation.  I think sometimes it can be better to get no letters on your first guess than get two when those two letters allow for many different possibilities.

I mean I got nothing in guess one and one letter correct position in guess two.  The thing was, I eliminated 9 possible letters which is very helpful

Ric and DB got two letter in the correct spot in guesses 1 and 2, but they only eliminated 6 letters from their guess list which is what creates the challenging situation.

True, and this was also one of those ones for me where my fourth guess was not a good one as I just hadn't spotted the correct word at that point, which even without hindsight was going to be much more likely to be right than what I put in my fourth guess.

Sometimes I rush a little bit when I do this. This was an example where if I had taken my time I think I would have had it in the more satisfactory four guess outcome.
