The Front Porch / Re: Back Surgery or No Back Su...
Last post by squibber - May 21, 2024, 10:54:04 AM
Update: My surgery was 15 days ago and it all went well. The surgeon said anything that could have gone wrong didn't go wrong. I stopped taking oxycodone after 5 days because I felt like I didn't need it any more.

Right now there is minimal pain but I have to be cautious not to walk too far or else the back starts hurting. I'm doing PT but it will be a long while until I can do any weight training.

First and foremost, we all should want to see evidence of Daniel Jones's return to health and best form. Why that should be is too obvious as to require discussion, much less debate. So far, based on his limited but very favorable OTA performance, most of us are encouraged.

Cheers!

I voted for passionately. I'm a fan of his 100%. I hope he runs for 200+ and multiple TDs for 15 games and less than 50 when he plays us!

He deserves to play behind a solid line to help him showcase his talents. Had we had a better line or gone to a team with a line, he would easily be the top RB over the course of his career.

I can't think of too many, but I expected to see: "How you doin?" Joey (Friends)

Here's some off the top of my head:

"Let's go to the tape" (Warner Wolf)
"And here's the rest of the story" (Paul Harvey)
"Juuust a bit outside." - Harry Doyle (Bob Ueker)
"That's my spot" (Sheldon Cooper, Big Bang Theory)
"Dy-NOOO-mite" (JJ Walker - Good Times)
"You're killing me Smalls" (Sandlot)
"Never ends for Raymond. I go to work, people shoot at me. Ray goes to work, people do the wave." ... Robert (Everybody Loves Raymond)
"What do you want me to do, die of old age?" (Robert Duvall, a 90 year old telling Michael Caine why he bought a plane that he had to put together himself..."Second Hand Lions"

No good reason to think not except for those with a still vacuous agenda.

Cheers!

Quote from: Jclayton92 on May 20, 2024, 05:42:09 PMNabers, and Wandale were on the field together from what I can tell.

Theo caught a few balls

What WR positions is what I want to know.

Kyle Hamilton went from superstar prospect with great film to over analyzed he ate something bad for breakfast prospect.

It is not hard to figure out talent.  Teams need to stop flying so low as draft comes up and lift head to see a broader perspective.

He's not so special that if the OL only allows a very short amount of time before a QB gets hit that he will be effective.  NFL CBs can tie him early for a split second to screw up any effectiveness.  It's about the OL.

As long as DJ and Nabers both stay healthy, and with how explosive he is, I think we are looking at a 1,000-1,500-yard season for him.

He is too special of a talent, and DJ will target him a lot, which will improve his stats as well.

But this is just my opinion.

Time will tell
