The show Blockbuster just came out on Netflix about the last blockbuster open in America. It's made in the mold of Brooklyn 99 and even has the female lead from B99. The 1st episode was absolutely hilarious, the movies and TV show references are everywhere and fun to spot. With Randall Park and Melissa Fumero as the leads.

The irony being that Netflix is the reason Blockbuster went out of business and it's funny to see them skirt the line, and just blame Amazon instead lol.

Me, myself, and I, have just finished the next chapter in the Game Of Thrones series, House of the Dragon--the prequel to GOT. (My darling wife wouldn't go anywhere near this show)I know there aren't many Game Of Thrones fans here and I really don't understand that. It was, and still is, one of the best shows ever to be on a TV screen. Anyway, this new series has been long awaited and I have finally gotten around to watching it--entirely. It wasn't dropped as a streaming show, but week by week as was GOT, so I waited until it was all here and then really got into it.

My own take, it started out VERY slow, and I mean very slow. Maybe thru the first 5 shows (10 in all), it was talk, upon more talk, and then still more talk. There was some minor action, but I believe it was more to set up this new cast of characters. In episodes maybe 6-8, it started picking up some steam and really started to pique my interest, and then episodes 9 and 10, I would compare them to anything the original GOT had to offer. It really got going storywise. There still isn't a whole lot of action, but the original GOT wasn't about the action either, it was the story and the quest for the Iron Throne, which now has House of the Dragon in full bloom in that quest.

I don't think you have had to watch GOT to enjoy this series, but it just helps the layout. (Similar to Better call Saul and Breaking Bad). All the characters are different just the names are relevant. AND, just in case anyone doesn't know, the original GOT was all about the power struggle as to whom will sit on the Iron Throne and control whatever lands, power, and riches that go with it. There were 7 families (or sects of families) that all felt they had the right to sit on the Iron Throne and thru 8 seasons of GOT we followed all their quests, struggles, and deaths to see who finally would rightfully end up on the Iron Throne. Again, it isn't about the action it is about the dealings, the backstabbings, and the power and force of these families. Now, HOTD, especially in the final two episodes, has decided to continue this struggle and no one is safe.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

Episode 8 was my favorite, the acting from viserys was top notch.

How did you feel about my synopsis? I've spoken to several others and most felt the same way, started out ultra slow, but picked up steam as the season wore and had just a terrific ending. Any word on when the next season will drop.?

I work in the film industry for a major studio so I consume a ton of content. Very solid Synopsis, it had to start slow as season 1 was just them putting the chess pieces on the board. Season 2 will be all the fighting and action. Your Synopsis was spot on!

Also Tom Clancys Jack Ryan on Amazon is about to drop its 3rd season in the next couple of weeks.

We started the most recent season of The Crown the other night. It has never been my absolute favorite show, but it's definitely solid and my wife is a big fan.

The new Yellowstone comes out very soon. I'm definitely getting fired up about that.

The crown has always been good enough that you can put it on and enjoy it without having to be all in. Have you seen the terminal list and Reacher? I watched them a while back.

While there hasn't been a ton of new streaming stuff the past couple of weeks I've actually consumed a lot of traditional TV shows that are phenomenal right now.

Haven't seen Terminal List or Reacher. Have heard good things about Reacher though.

weeze

I just hooked up with a Roku and got "YOUTUBE TV". Its great but its very confusing to me. SLG guided me over to where all these FREE "apps" are! Holy Bassett Hound there's a never ending list over there. He told me to check out this one and all they have is old "grindhouse" you know, DRIVE IN theatre stuff from the 50s and on. Outrageous I say. Enjoyable as hell. Something positive has happened here! Its seems like forever since anything went right around here but this is. I must explore more.
you guys I bet know all about this and I've said nothing that you didn't already know. huh?
Well ok , I'm still impressed.
Also I got a "secret site" where it has been told to me that I should get the Giants game this weekend on the computer. Got my fingers crossed!
Best Regards to all Giants fans everywhere!
Just felt like saying that.
