Quote from: DaveBrown74 on February 18, 2024, 07:24:24 AMFor those who have successfully quit smoking and haven't smoked in a long time:

When you see cigarettes or smell cigarette smoke, is the craving still there? Or are you repulsed by it? Or is it just kind of a neutral feeling?

To this day, smoke from a cigarette repulses me and I automatically look around to see where that nasty smell is coming from.

As most know, I cruise a lot and on all ships, smoking is banned except for designated areas on outside decks. You can't even smoke on your balcony (smoke could lead to fire and that is the worst thing that could happen on a ship at sea). I am at the point, when we walk around certain decks, if we have to pass the designated smoking areas, we usually go inside and then out again after we pass them. The only place on a cruise ship where you can smoke inside is in the casino, and walking thru that (as you may have to, to get to certain venues (they aren't stupid and make you go thru certain places to get to other places)isn't pleasant for anyone who detests smoke. We also go out of our way like going to a different deck to avoid that area.
Really, that is how far we go to avoid any odor or smell from cigarettes.
I HATE TO INCLUDE THE WORD NASTY< BUT THAT IS PART OF BEING A WINNING FOOTBALL TEAM.

I'm not trying to revive this thread but I left out a big one.

I know religion and politics are touchy subjects. I'm on a private Facebook page that discusses Christianity and the Bible. Sometimes I post my opinion on something and try to back up why I believe it. Several times I have gotten "I'm laughing at you" emojis.

I think it's so rude and it shows an intolerance towards people with opinions different than their own.

People who chew loudly. It really irritates me.

I'm currently in Hong Kong with work. The lack of table manners is disgusting.  I've been here 8 days and I'm yet to encounter anyone who chews with their mouth closed.
