Quote from: katkavage on Today at 11:00:31 AMMight be true, but they are a money machine and the owners love it.
Exactly, it's all a money grab anymore. The traditions, talent and exposure are all watered down.

Defenses can no longer be dominant like they used to be, and they run through players like Kleenex tissue with the inattention to playing surfaces and recovery time.

18 games? Hell why not make it 20 and put flags on them?! Oh wait, that's what he's pondering!

I would have also taken Nabers.

That being said, there's no better collegiate program today from where to invest in an OL than Notre Dame. So IMHO you couldn't really go wrong taking him.

Goodell should mull stepping away, he's systematically ruining the NFL.

A total of 6 picks, this is exactly why I wanted them to trade down. They could've stayed within the top 15, still have an impact WR available and stocked up on picks (and maybe an established Corner).

If they can solidify the OL, establish a running game and pass pro....and he still cannot develop a consistent downfield passing threat and manage to stay healthy...it's time to move on!

Quote from: Jolly Blue Giant on April 26, 2024, 05:41:20 PMI said it was going to be very physical, because that's what teams think it will take to stop NY. And boy was it ever - first flagrant foul within minutes of tip off with an elbow to Divi's eye - bleeding like a sieve. Then Embid got away with a flagrant foul by stiff arming Mitch and then grabbing his leg as Mitch came down, causing him to land on the back of his neck under the basket...got a foul call, but it wasn't called flagrant - and everyone could see it was flagrant. Mitch could not return to the game. Then later, Embid wrapped up Hartenstein again as he was coming down the court, and this time brought up his knee with a hard shot to the groin, laying out I-Hart. That was called "Flagrant 1" and announcers both said that both flagrant 1s should've been flagrant 2s, and the first hard foul delivered by Embid should've been flagrant

Rough game. Thought I was watching hockey for a bit. It's obvious Philly's game plan - hard fouls over and over and try to injure a Knick

Yeah I feel like the refs felt compelled to over correct their performance at the Garden. But the Sixers and Embiid in particular, THUGGED their way through this one while the refs basically looked away.

NOT COOL!

I hope we DESTROY them in game 4 and then finish them off at the Garden.

Quote from: sxdxca38 on April 25, 2024, 11:45:49 PMMay I share something?

Daniel Jones has played a total of five seasons in the NFL.

In the two seasons he had a decent offensive line, ranked 18th and 17th, he had his best years.

In 2022 when the O line performed about average, he posted 3,900 total yards which included his rushing stats, and a QBR of 60.2 which ranked 6th, and a 92.3 RTG which ranked 13th.

I hear that you are saying the Giants weren't a good team in 2022, but the fact that he posted those kinds of numbers on a bad team, and helped them make the playoffs, what would happen if he was actually on a good team?

For instance, the Giants have added an elite #1 WR, and if they upgrade the O line from 30th to say around 15th, do you think Daniel Jones' stats will improve? and will the Giants begin to win again?
This sounds like a conversation between Mara and Schoen.

Quote from: Stringer Bell on April 25, 2024, 09:25:53 PMObviously not being that Penix went before JJ, and Minn only needed to trade a 4th and 5th.
The Giants picked 6th, there was no way Minn knew it would unfold that way at that point. No doubt there was an offer sitting there. IMHO

Really good player....but we need A LOT OF THEM.

Could've collected a Kings RANSOM from the Vikings or the Broncos.

Oh ye of little faith!

The Knicks are living rent free in Nurse and Embiid's head.

That combined with our NEVER SAY DIE mindset, I'm feeling VERY GOOD about tonight.

Are you watching the Knicks @ Philly - Game 3?

Or

The NFL Draft?

Personally I'm locked to the MSG channel watching the Knicks while monitoring my Giants app for Draft coverage.

Honestly, I'll probably be clicking during commercial breaks.

Potentially a GREAT NIGHT FOR NY SPORTS.

Let's GOOOOOOOOO!!!!

My dream scenario is us being offered and accepting the Denver trade that's been reported.

Big Blue Huddle / Philly & Saquon - Tampering?
April 22, 2024, 06:32:50 PM
I'm seeing some reports that assert Philly tampering to get Saquon and may be looking at forfeiture of a draft pick?

A) does anyone know if it's true?

And

B) would we not be the recipient of the pick in question because if they tampered it would have to be while he was still under contract?

What say you?
