First team defense had two sets of four plays against the Lions first team offense so far.

• First series defense held up strong. Didn't allow a first down on two run plays and two pass plays.
• Second series Lions got to the defense on some crossers. St Brown over Hawkins. DPI on McFadden over Hockenson. McFadden also had a really nice pass breakup as well.

The #Lions starting defense just dominated the red zone drill (beginning 15 yard line). #Giants would have turned it over on downs as they didn't get first. They ran two additional plays. Final was a QB keeper from Jones. Not sure he even would have gotten in there. Defense ran off field celebrating. Really, really impressive day for their defense.
