Here'[s a real softball:

The Hunt For Red October

Good flick. Saw it in the theater with my now wife when we were dating in high school.

No, Justin; the original movie was named "The Thing" when it first came out.  I've got a copy of it to prove that.  The additional wordage wasn't added until after the new one.

Well there

Now I see my problem, Justin.  I only saw the Original "The Thing" & I didn't see "Blade Runner" & the others.  I guess I'm just stuck in the 30s to 50s.  And, BTW, that's not too bad. :greetings:

You saw the original

I see a lot of Walsh-Parcells, which seems to be the consensus regarding that era. My question is about Gibbs. What sets him on a second tier in most people's minds?

Gibbs...
...won three Super Bowls (equal to Walsh, one more than Parcells), and went to four.
...never coached a great QB. In fact, he won with three different guys, two I don't think you could even call good, period.
...never had an all-time great defense, or a hall of fame defensive player, right?
...was arguably as innovative within Coryell's lineage as Walsh was in Brown's.
...had record-breaking offenses, but his famous receiving and OL units actually had several different players come through them

Ruegamer played during the last regular season game against the Patriots. Did well.

Let us not forget when the Giants  let Christian Peter walk and plugged in Cornelius Griffin to supposedly give more of a pass rush. The run d suffered.

No mention of Adam Shaheen in round 2 or 3?

McDermott I guess, but I have little enthusiasm for him.

I have a strong hunch it will be McAdoo.

20 years of wilderness wandering I see ahead for this team.

I see 23 new roster faces, an inept offensive line, a new system for a QB in decline and overall questionable running back speed especially with the loss of Wilson.
Anywhere between 6-10 and 8-8 is my thinking unless the defense is absolutely lights out.
Then 9-7 is my best guess.
Unfortunately my glass is not full nor do I look through rose colored ones.

I don't see much in the way of a pass rush either.

Funny that no one has even mentioned Ahmad Bradshaw who runs with as much heart, physicality, and determination as anyone.

I love Rodney Hampton too, but I always associate him with some very disappointing seasons with Reeves and the nameless one.  I didn't like the way Jim Fassel unceremoniously ushered him out the door.  I never really cared for Fassel as a result.

Joe Morris was awesome, just awesome..but his star rose and fell in too short a time.
